Hi guys,

Our newest FLGS was kind enough to let me borrow one of his tables for about 45 minutes yesterday prior to game night, so I was able to lay out my entire 1st company that is fully painted/finished and get some pictures;

The Images show off the 10 squads, plus my Contemptors, Command Squads, Int-Chaplains, and Librarians, all in Terminator Armor.

The 8 men behind the contemptors are "extras" - I wound up with (2) spare LC Terminators, and then the (6) Heavy Flamer guys incase I want to use that option.

I hope you enjoy.

It works now and this massive effect is totally impressive!

Now I WANT a battle report... tongue.png

At some point I hope to go toe-to-toe with a friend's Tyranids, we'll see if he wants to. Feverishly painting DW Knights to join the ranks of my First Company.

Need to finish a few more Dreadnoughts and my Armor as well.

Its more my take on the Deathwing than anything. On those big games, I field it this way because it limits my requirement of Sargent models, plus its less shooting to have to keep track of.

http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/278187-new-painting-log-for-pbenner/  I keep a separate display and painting log.  I hope to field 10K points over labor day weekend, but I'm still waiting on the GM's Sign-off for points allowed.

I'm very excited about the DWK.  They seem like a great unit.

Very impressive display :)

10k per player...sheesh!

The biggest I've played was something like 8k (maybe a bit more) and in 10h we player 4 turns...and it was 1 vs 1!

Another game we did of 3 vs 3 (each player with 2k) took us 7h to do the 4 turns...and to be honest, it was kind of one sided (xenos/daemons assaulting and Imperial outpost defended by IG, SW and DA...they never got to cross the 12" line before us).

When you ge the game throw us some pics!

It is at a smaller store, they are spreading the game via slots, 1k per slot, and I have asked to play Forces of Order 10 slots. They are very Forces of Chaos heavy there, so there should be availability to make up my chunk across the board.

The game is slated so that we have three days, 1 to setup and 2 to play, so we should make it through.

We will see what happens.

Best,

Paul

  • 1 month later...

First post updated with new pictures.  Not happy with the lighting but I didn't have a lot of time.  Will do more pictures after the next painting cycle.

New Additions are:

(1) Mortis Dread

(1) Contemptor Dread

(2) Dread Chaplains

(40) DWK

(5) Librarians

(2) Land Raiders

So far so good.  Need to keep painting though.

Back to the painting table, slacker!

LOL....I'm blown away.  I haven't even quite finished 100 in power armor...forget TDA...you have more knights than I have terminators...maybe...it's close...if I count virgin sprue, I might have 40-45...

16 is my plan.

3 Crusader

2 God Hammer

3 Ares

2 Terminus Ultra

3 Hyperios

3 Achilles

I just need to be able to afford them -_-

I am priming Storm Eagles right now.  I need to prime my tanks for the Competition - not many more nice days left in Kansas for priming...

Tell me about it...I suffered through two Wisconsin winters!  The second winter, I rushed to prime 3-4 months worth of stuff before it got too cold...but good reminder...I need to do a bunch before I leave Tokyo, I won't get a chance between getting to Lawrence and going to Adepticon...
