Scars Episode XI Updated 16/10 (Spoilers)

i was joking about the alpha legion, they cannot be seen to show their hand so openly

my money was on the death guard/mortarion showing up, with all the flashbacks to the ullanor conversations and nikea musings

but perhaps the khan will answer the call of horus directly

love that spitball on "good" magnus being destroyed on prospero, and leaving "bad" magnus to go traitor

I found it funny that Shiban felt grateful that his second-in-command was 'like granite' at his side, his loyalty unquestionable.

I'm sure the Emperor would appreciate the Khan being likewise at this time. Not that I don't understand Jaghatai's point of view, just saying that the Scars' balance between loyalty and independence is incredibly fun to read. Congratulations to Mr. Wraight and the rest of the BL panel, this is a very well constructed Legion.

So consensus at this point is that the Warmaster will personally confront the Khan? Would be interesting, but honestly I don't think he would stand a chance in a battle with Horus.

Edit: I was just thinking about something. A confrontation with Mortarion is possible. Chances are he may be with Horus at this point in the war, as neither have been seen much, we know for a fact that he's not with Typhon, as the First Captain is off doing his own thing already Chaos-tainted (and has presumably taken the First Company with him). Both Horus and Mortarion were very close, so this could be a possible answer or lead up to the confrontation.

Pre-Chaos infused-ness I'd have said the Khan would stand a good chance against Horus, as the Warmaster is now yeah the Khan would lose. However I do not think the pair will come to blows or something or some one will intervene and allow the Khan and the White Scars to leave; I think a confrontation with Horus will make up Jaghatai's mind once and for all. Each new chapter seems to be raising more questions than answering them, this is one of the best story arcs in the series so far.

I like Dusk Raider's idea, Mortarion being sent by Horus to turn Jaghatai - or even the two of them showing up at the same point - is both plausible and cool.

Added bonus is we'll get to know more about the Death Guard's motivations.

That I can't see happening so much. Chances are Horus is already beyond any of his brothers. But hey, the Khan could get curbstomped and learn his lesson.

Or he could in fact demonstrate why everyone ranks him up there and hold his own against Horus.

i suspect that they'd have the khan hold his own but have to retreat.

likewise when they eventually do the horus/sanguinius fight I suspect that will be more than a couple of blows traded.

I am also hoping that Horus hasn't become bloated with corruption and dark power yet, but that he is 'on his way'

the word bearers' GPS system is handy plot device for bringing a traitor fleet to prospero to confront the khan

but how does this tie into the inital arc of omegon/the alpha legion destroying the tenebrae installation, allowing the white scars to receive messages from all sides, and then handily leaving a weak spot in the blockade to let the white scars escape chondax?
