Kol Saresk
Actually Night Lords are lucky that way. The average model can easily be transferred from a 40K list into the 30K list. Just build the 40K list, don't get too Chaos-y with the decorations, and viola! A modular army with additional bits to help compliment it in times of Heresy. Heathens: You're getting really creepy with that whole Flying Dutchman Mantra. Lay off the Johnny Depp man! Brother Heinrich
True enough, I wish I had thought of that beforehand and incorporated it into the army build. I may just build a few key models and switch out the renegades and weapon specialists to make it happen. Probably have to get the community opinion when I get to that point. Or I can strip the ones with the least amount of old armor marks and increase the amount of FW they have, then birth them anew! Oh man, what are you guys doing to me, it like...I'm... part of a ship...part of a crew...part of the ship, part of the crew, part of the ship, part of the crew, part of the ship, part of the crew, part of the ship, part of the crew, part of the ship, part of the crew...... Marshal Rohr
http://www.anvilindustry.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=60_88&product_id=306 I found these and thought you might find them interesting. Vazzy
Is Pullo based off of Titus Pullo, by chance? Of Rome fame. Because if so, he needs his Vorenus.... Daemon2027
I just stumbled upon this, really fantastic work so far. Lots of character in every marine, can't wait to see more. El-Diablo
Some cracking figs so far chap, the posing a parts selection is superb. Tyrannicide
M2C: Those are pretty nice. Don't know how well they'd mesh with all the FW stuff though. They do look large. Vazzy: Nah, just a name drop. That said, "Thirteen! Thirteen!" Demon: Thanks, I appreciate it. Midian: Yes, I swear! The paints are in the mail as we speak. ++++ Today's progress is, admittedly, an entire new world to me. This is the first time I've tried seriously sculpting something that isn't gap-filling. I'd like to push my limited boundaries and be able to do more with greenstuff, so hopefully this is a start. The eyes haven't had any work yet. I'll be making them more enclosed and slant like. I'm happy with certain areas and disappointed with others. The top of the helmet is uneven. I don't like how it looks toward the ears. Also, the lower right cheek and chin region need to be filled out. Praetor-pattern helmet: http://i421.photobucket.com/albums/pp299/spencertrimm/ppheadwip1.png http://i421.photobucket.com/albums/pp299/spencertrimm/ppheadwip2.jpeg And this is what I've been using as inspiration: http://i421.photobucket.com/albums/pp299/spencertrimm/praetorpattern.jpg Please let me know what you think, what I should do to improve, and how. BCK and all the rest of you sculpting-inclined, I'm looking at you! Brother-Chaplain Kage
Pretty good, Darth. The symmetry is a tad off, but as you know from my recent posts, I struggle with that as well. Aside from that, the other two things I would have mentioned, you already pointed out. And is it my imagination, or does it kinda resemble General Grievous? Edit: For your first attempt at something beyond gap filling, you did an amazing job. Seriously, hats off, man. Keep pushing yourself like this and you'll be cranking out amazing sculpture conversions in no time. Dosjetka
The helmet looks good, Darth :) The eye slits need to be a bit thinner, and the angles a bit more pronounced (sharper?), but otherwise, I've got nothing else to add. EDIT: Now that Kage has mentionned it, it does remind me somewhat of that robotic general  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/279748-calths-retribution-no-longer-in-progress/page/5/#findComment-3463698 Share on other sites

Brother-Chaplain Kage
It's the General shape (haha!) of the new faceplate combined with the large eye holes. Once this cures and you decrease the size of them, it won't resemble him as much. ephrael
I don't sculpt myself so I don't have any advice to add but I think that the helmet looks good so far, especially the ridge down the center. What helmet did you use as a base for the sculpt?
