Rot and Treachery: my Traitor guard

Hi

 

So begins my descent into chaos and madness. i have begun some work on my Traitor guard allies for my Nurgle marine force and will now hope to begin sharing photos which i hope you will enjoy, i apologise for the amateur photo quality.

This force is designed to represent the combined forces of a fallen imperial world, the force becoming a ragtag group of cultits, mutants and guards. using a wild variety of models, conversions and scratch builds :)

A few things about the force:

 

> each model will be converted, not a single model will go untouched in my conversion spree

> as a big fan of chaos icons in my units, icons will represent my voxcasters except in my company command squad which will have a musician.

using a wild combo of various parts, the sorcerer represents the cult magus, my count-as company commander, this is until i do my Straken count as :) still need a master of ordnance.

I thought of going for something different then i noticed the heavy weapon team is one two wound model so i though big mutants with big guns :) i thought the mortar team guns could be a form of energy cannon.

from what i've seen, i like the idea and theme you're going for - very unified and can tell that these are certainly dedicated to the plague lord. i like what you've done with the chaos icons-voxcasters too, i might even have to do something similar. you seem to certainly have a very good idea in your head and can execute it well and this largely shows in the minis themselves with the conversions. 

if i had one critique it would be, as you have already said, the quality of the photos themselves. there are ways to remedy this but i'm not the best myself either. there used to be a good 'how to take a pic' guide in the PCA section which has some useful bits in it, they helped me out a little anyway. if the images were just a tad tidier then i'd love to see the detail that has gone into them. 

but good work so far chap. great to see another fellow traitor guardsman out there, rallying the troops for the dark gods. looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Thanks for that Leinmann and you are more than welcome to use the icons idea :) , and the yep the photos did turn out quite disappointing :( maybe i shall try again. anyone else got any comments, ideas or suggestions?

It looks like there's some great conversions in there, especially in the command squad, but i can't really tell due to pic quality.

you create an album in your gallery, then upload the pics into that. then, when you set up a page such as this, you can either 1) provide a link to the album on here or 2) when you want to post a pic on the page you select 'my media' where you will have the options to display albums or individual pics. at least thats the way i've done it anyway. just beware that some images may have to be cropped, and you might have to rotate the image after uploading too (happens to me all the time), but you get the idea.

Looks good from what I can see with good conversions, though I strongly disapprove of the hospitaller - unmodded even! Better pictures inline would be a good improvement, the B&C gallery is a good way to easily get in images without messing around with external places and their silly rules and limits :)

WarriorFish: thanks and yeah i know about the hospitaller (i'm guessing you play sisters), i had the model spare and its just a temp till i create something better, any ideas?

She's standing in as a medic right? I'm sure you can conjure up some suitable Nurgle version... maybe rather than blood packs he has something more unsavoury?
