Magic Man's Marines Errant; Its a kind of Magic! PG9

So it's been a while!

Ive been working on some other projects more than my beloved Marines Errant lately, mostly due to the fact that i game with two other guys who have started playing Power Armour. 3 Power Armour forces duking it out just isn't that fun for me when there isnt a good story behind it (Badab, or Heresy). At the moment in my group its Grey Knights vs Blood Angels vs Marines Errant, which i find a bit boring. So i started Orks...


Anyway! I have been working on my guys on the sidelines, which has to led to alot of half finished models. Tableworthy, but not finished, so i haven't been showing them. On top of that I've been rebasing my dudes, and switching their theme from after Badab to during the Bellephron Massacre. So changing their bases from cityfight/dead Red Corsairs to desert rust world/dead Mantis Warriors.

Maybe ill manage to keep regular updates, or not..



Enough excuses, presenting Codicier Morath. He warned Chapter Master Midas of the impending doom upon the sands of Bellephron, but the proud Chapter Master did not heed his warnings. The reward for his hubris was the taste of blood and death...

I like how you've given this guy a lot of character. Details such as the scarring on his face or how the runes on his staff light up have worked really very well.

Thanks man! Glad the glow looks alright to others too. Always a bit unsure with librarians weapons, theyre always covered in swirly bits haha.

I was really happy to have this figure now that I see GW has discontinued it. Its probably my favourite Libby sculpt of all time. Happy that people enjoy my attempt at doing it justice. ☺

Just seen this as part of my catch-up - glad I'm not the only one who's been distracted of late! Much more understandably in your case though! Really like the Librarian, as others have said the eyes really pop. I'd also like to say that you've really improved on the original sculpt by removing that book. Can i ask where you found the alternative arm?

Unless I'm much mistaken, the arm is from the most recent Tactical Squad set, with the open hand being from the Sternguard Veteran Squad set (I believe I used the same pieces on my Chaplain).

Cheers mate! Ludovics got it, the arm is just a regular one from the tactical squad box (Cant rememeber if i cut the hand off, or if its one of the ones without a hand) and then stuck a sternguard open hand on. There are some more open hands in the Devastator box, and the Sanguinary. :)

My Terminators are still sitting half finished. Got distracted by Nurgle... lol. Maybe one day soon.
