Legatus
Guilliman also only survived the fight against Angron because Lorgar had stopped Angron from delivering the killing blow. So in the last books he appears in, Guilliman would practically have been killed four times, but he was saved each time either due to his victorious opponent hesitating or through an unexpected machination. Three of those times he was beaten in combat, and two of those times weren't even against another Primarch. I think the only other Primarch who was "effectively killed" as often in the series is probably Vulkan. Kol Saresk
You missed Ferrus. Then again, it might be easy given his..... Reduced stature. Legatus
Ah, I only thought he was killed once. I didn't read the earlier books in the series. Kol Saresk
No you're right. He was only killed once. Quite effectively. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/281381-unremembered-empireinitial-review/page/39/#findComment-3541660 Share on other sites
Legatus
Too bad Daemon-Fulgrim didn't make any gloating speeches. (He probably will do that when he is fighting Guilliman, later...) Wade Garrett
Technically Fulgrim could have killed him on Ferrus's ship, but he settled for knocking him out with Forgebreaker, so that's 2 for the Gorgon. Rob's still ahead, though. Yeesh. What a time to be a loyalist fan... Captain Idaho
What is the fourth time? Angron, Alpharius lite (i.e. Space Marine) and Kor Phaedron. What am I missing then? None of the times were particularly rubbish though. Only thoughtless repetition plot wise. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/281381-unremembered-empireinitial-review/page/39/#findComment-3541874 Share on other sites

Kol Saresk
True. Not to mention the gloating was just a diversion. And he would have gotten away with it to if it wasn't for those meddling Astartes! Pyroriffic
IIRC, I think that they had some super prognosticators that were both a librarian *and* a chaplain. They are the spiritual being of their chapter, so I could possibly see Narek being that. The word bearers look to signs and astrology, the Skulls try to divine the future. Hmmmmm. Hmmmmmmmmmm. Where's Sarah Cawkwell when we need her! Eaten by life. Three months is a standard response time, right? Pyroriffic
Excellent, purple is my favourite. Yes - there are Prognosticators, who are the seers and then there are Prognosticars, who are more geared up to being combat psykers. Both of them are exceptionally revered within the Silver Skulls due to their superstitions and beliefs. Alas, no, for those are the names already brought up in the Existing History [tm].Well, you wouldn't have been the first author to change Existing History [tm] if you had, and I am sure that would have been something fans in general would have stood behind. But, minor quibble is just a minor quibble. Couple times I have tripped over it while reading, is all. When are we going to read a Horus Heresy of yours? We already got AD-B all up in it, and Abnett throws some powerhouse punches with regularity. But I feel that they are outnumbered by the likes of Gav "I am Alpharius Raven Guard" Thorpe, Nick "You may be immortal, but I can still kill you with this spoon" Kyme, Ben "I really don't need to say anything other than Battle for the Abyss" Counter and Graham "More miss than hit" McNeill. Come on, Sarah. Join the Horus Heresy league.
