no, because stops being a infantry - ic and becomes a bike - ic.

same thing for models with jump packs. they change from infantry to jump infantry, so they cant get in a lr either

and its and/or because ic´s can join the unit and are counted as part of it while embarked or they can join another ic to make a ic unit (page 39 rulebook)

you can also use a lr to carry a single ic but that seems sort of a massive waste

Nope, there's a "OR".

Because it can be a "or", the logic will not be stopped at judging if it's a "infantry", instead it will also judge if it is a IC as well.

So here will be 2 conditions let a unit get in a transport: It's a Infantry unit, or it's a IC

We shouldn't deny IC of other then infantry type get in is because if we do, we should also deny any non-IC unit get in because they don't fulfill being infantry and IC together.

This is why I think we could let a non-infantry get in a transport.

EDIT:

OOPS! sorry just checked BRB and there is "(as long as they are also Infantry)", so, no.
