Most likely Free hand, Just dabbled in it before while re watching the hobbit for god knows how many times. At the moment it looks like well.. I'd say a spastic dolphin but hey! Getting there xD

Hey buddy,

 

As a fellow Carcharodons fan, I thought I'd let you know that, if you were interested. Forgeworld have restocked their Carcharodon transfer sheets. I tried to buy some a while ago and they told me that they were 'out of print'.... then just before Xmas I got an email telling me that they'd decided to restock them, which was pretty damn awesome as they look wicked.

 

Happy painting brother, I will be keeping an eye on this thread.

Fluffy fluff!

 

As captain Thrain walked through what was left of the battle field he removed his helm dropping it to the ground for it was shattered beyond repair, taking in the smell of the scorched earth and burnt flesh he remembered the battle, the thrill of his power maul impacting upon the traitorous guardsmen of the planet,

they knew not even the name of this planet just that it needed to be taught a lesson by the imperium.

Upon hearing a metal on metal rasp, Thrain turned around bolter out, Seeing Brother Kryn he lowered his bolter. "What are you doing brother?" Asked Thrain.
"Im searching for my flamer." replied Kryn," You lost it again? Your desire to use those blades of yours will be your death one day brother, Don't forget what happened on Syth.
You and your brother, Uncanny.."

Kryn just smiled in reply as he lifted what seemed to be the remains of a Chimera trasport and pulled out his flamer. "Hah" he breathed. Hefting it up relishing in the feel
of its weight in his hands. "You finished reminiscing old man?" Kryn smirked as he walked off towards the storm eagle hovering in the distance.

Im quite happy with Mako, hoping to get some decent weather so I can basecoat them, been raining a ton.

All good on those decals I'm putting an order in soon so that will hopefully help.

 

Thanks brother, the yellow is getting easier to paint / battle damage can cover up the Dodgey painting. :P

Update!



So i woke up this morning, sat down to paint some more of my tac squad, and noticed my landraider just begging to have some more work done. And well... I DID!


Minus the weapons etc its mostly done, Trying to blend in these decals is being a pain in the censored.gif the chevrons turned out alright but those Aquila's!censored.gif

So I've done some work on my Allies! Sharks Incoming!


 


I've Decied that Im going to Re-do Warmaster Brann for my MM hence I've used his model for the Chapter master / Captain of the Carcharodon's Astra.


So he started the night like this

Looking pimp dude! If you really want to make the tips of those flamestorm cannons pop, do a light wash of leviathan purple (or what ever its equivalent is) and then a light coat of seraphim sepia and it'll give that burn metal look a real gritty tone. Take it or leave it bro, this force is coming along nicely.

When I do my heat effect I dry brush regal blue then liche purple leaving some blue showing then little bit of gold to finish. Working from tip of barrel back. Copied the effect from my exhaust on my motorbike.

 

Cracking work by the way Brother.

Blue, purple, sepia, flesh and black washes. Stipple the sepia and flesh washes over the main area. Then build the blue, purple and finally black up as glazes. Have some thinned wash on your brush and using the side of your brush, drag the colour toward the front.
