Love the BA. The colour is very nice. The servo arm is looking good. I made a bionic arm for a Inquisitor and found it such a pain to do the joint I wimped out and just gave him armour.

That group shot is excellent. The more I look at it the harder it is for me to pick a favourite!

Digging the Servo Arm, too. It looks plain but powerful, which is a nice contrast with the ornamental nature of the rest of the armour on your Blood Angels so far.

So after a long weekend up in Brisbane catching up with family I'm finally home with the misses, took the younger brother into the Games workshop at Surfers paradise and helped increase his space wolves.

I've been commissioned to also paint a LotR dwarf army and have stripped back some of the GS on the servo arm and will get back to work on that soon.

My next FW order has shipped and after this Saturday I'll begin re stripping some old models.

@MordentHex- you my good sir are correct I'll keep it functional

@BassWave- this Forge lord shall either be the start of some IH and admech allies for my cousin or will be painted as a BA

@Knight of the raven- thanks mate I'll need these but most likely won't reveal what it is till it's assembled

@Blissfulbrushes- dropped the etched brass and will update soon. Trying to keep a realistic feel just need to find a way to reinforce the arm.

well, we are the nastiest Loyalist Legion, get special access to some of the most esoteric & powerful weapons the Imperuim possesses, shove bits of metal in ourselves because cloning tissue would take too long and there's killing to be done, enact utterly brutal shock attacks, care not for the collateral damage done to other allied forces, have the closest relationship with the Mechanicum, have a huge reserve of servitors & battle-automata, have a Primarch who designed cataphractii armour & the sicarian, are used as shock troops by other Legions, consist of Clans which are happy to compete & function entirely independently and our dad used to lead younger Primarchs to war.

Oh, and did I mention we're the most tank-heavy Legion out there?

@demon2027- I feel you but I am trying to stay motivated and get it done, just very busy at the moment so I don't know how quickly I'll get it done

 

@Ace- ohh the arm currently will be simple but he will still have an artistic flare to him

 

@molokai- I will be trying to stick to a primary force but I jump ships all the time.

 

@IHF- yes... Yes I like tanks. It will be a future project believe me and I'll do the iron tenth justice soon.

Jasp. I know I've said it before and I'll say it again. Please get a better camera when you can. I swear, its one of the mains issues with your models. Its unfocused and doesn't give well to your painting. With better pictures, we can pinpoint better ways to help you with your painting work.

Sounds good to me - shows a nice contrast between the very regal look of the Blood Angels and the more utilitarian feel of the AdMech.

Heck, even if you did make the servo arm a lot more flashy and artistic, I still think that'll come across well just from the size of the arm.

Also really like the posing on your newest marine - looks ready for a good ol' fashioned fight!

Are you planning on using a different colour to denote this guy as a Techmarine?

I mean, the servo arm is a pretty obvious clue to his rank even if you don't, but I'm just trying to picture the finished model in my head.

Looks nice as it is, but have you considered chopping his right hand and turning it over so that it looks more like he's in mid swing?

Still confuses me why they sculpted it like that in the first way...

@Barrabas- yeah I think he's going to be running around with my angels, the triangle part over the joint is a idea of sliding protective wear plates, I've tried to take the idea of the machines I work around; excavators bulldozers loaders etc to try get a bit of a realistic idea.

 

@Ace- I wanted to do like I did on the librarian & SoH medicae and keep the right arm the specialty colour whilst making the rest legion heraldry but how do you make red with red? Maybe I'll do a black arm

 

@blissful- I agree it would look much better but I don't think my skill set is at that level
