Jaspcat man just head to the matrix and grab some vallejo paints. they have some pretty decent reds and if you went the "game colour" rands it will be very similar to the gw paints.

experiment man otherwise your limiting yourself to just one paint range, the same chalky paint range thats more of a paste lol.

the dark reds ive been using is army painter dragon red--- very smooth deep red

LaCroix- ehhh I'll get around to it once I find a sea green I'm happy with :P plus if I go to the Matrix I'll have to pop on into yours for a beer!

So I have 3 ideas to pitch for characters for the SoH, first up we have the last wolf (basic idea recruited as a youth from Luna is loyal to the 4th brotherhood and horus above all), the first son (the first inductee on cathonia after the luna wolves were renamed keeps it as an honorary title) & the brotherhood champion (still working on an idea but I was thinking as a lodge master)

i realised i forgot to paint 1x backpack and misshing pads for the mk4 marine lol

 

i used the same fabius backpak for my word beaers apothacary

going to glaze the vials to give off a glass look?

Deep down most of us are lazy. For example I got ny New stuff from fw 2 days ago and still haven't opened it, instead I watched a season of got and two of misfits. I'm liking the apothecary(?) a lot, especially the crisp highlights on the black. Kudos to you for them, but whatchout that you dont go to bright as that doesn't look good at all

Lacroix- I'll be using that German standard grey as the base so thanks for that now I need to get that elcheapo airbrush. & I will glaze the vials biggrin.png

glad to see your trying out some new paints and now to get you to buy some decent brushes......

the air brush is a good start. i can teach how not to use an airbrush....lol

Barabbas- I'm thinking a blood angel to act as a spot colour, it was going to be an iron hand but I thought too much black in one piece will look over done.

 

Lacroix- you get me a new camera :P and I'll get rid of my old gear slowly.... Slowly

@KBA- well I've started hacking into the torso with a scalpel so I'll hopefully have this bad boy done by Sunday.

 

@Flint- you may be the mistress of the VIIIth but the XIIth is my domain :P

I think I'll be making a female navigator character with your name on it

That was my kit bashed DG from my previous foray into the 30k universe, next up will most likely be my take on EC

 

 

Looks like a Death Guard to me. I like the Reavers jaspcat, was thinking of picking a few up myself soon.

Holy crap! That Death Guard looks much bigger than the other two marines!

Raised base causes that effect :P
