Just read through this whole thread...I swear B&C are trying to stop me from getting a degree...some very nice work you've got here.

I know what you mean about the issues that you touched on in your opening post, I feel the same way as well, I think it's a case of working out who to ignore, most people, at least the more active ones tend to give excellent feedback; which rules out the small minority of trolls and flamers.

 

The one thing that I would say that lets you down a little bit is your photos, a few of them are quite blurry, which is a shame because this could turn into something truly special.

 

Keep up the good work though, some lovely ideas in here!

Thanks brother means heaps after seeing your work, I unfortunately only have the iPhone for photos and have a basic set up for my camera.

 

I'll try take better photos soon, work is first and foremost

Some nice looking kitbashes on your Angels, Jasp.

 

Look into upgrading your lighting setup to get some better photos. I run two lamps with daylight bulbs. A homemade lightbox would help diffuse the lightsource even more. You can do quite a bit with the iPhone, it's what I use to take pics of all my work.

 

Keep at it, man. Looking forward to some paint. :)

So, I've been talking with LaCroix and he's got me on to a couple of tutorials on YouTube but I want to know everyone's painting idols, my personal one is TemplarsCrusade01.

 

So shout out who I should learn from and also link me ;)

 

 

 

And I'm shouting out to brother Molokai my newest local heresy player, so far I have 3 buddies for the Horus Heresy so look out for a new tale of X battle brothers thread soon.

just look at buypainted. templarscrusade01 tends to forget to mention bits and talks too much well my opinion anyway. buypainted does full tutorials and doesnt hold back on trade secrets.

there's heaps of airbrush vids out there and a lot of them come from the hisorical moddlers area especially for weathering and battle damage

i can show you the basics as i'm still learning myself.

there's also airbrush classes you can go to not far from where we both live jaspcat

I love Girlpainting's channel.

She is a phenomenal painter, and is terrific at highlighting every bit of every important step along the way. Poor sweetheart has such an annoying voice though sweat.gif

Tearsoftheraven- thanks mate, I'll get on to rebuilding my WE slowly but surely I promise you that.

 

Devolver- I think I'm going to attempt a deep red wine colour with these guys, I'll have them under coated hopefully this week.

 

Flint- it's all good, I agree with your feelings towards Joey berry, some ladies need to remember to keep :cuss classy ;) then again so do us men.
