@passionfruitpower- it's very watery mephiston red 2 coats washed with seraphim sepia followed by nuln oil wash.

 

@forte- it was luck that gave me the deep wine red hopefully I can replicate it

Oh, that's a good red.

The normal bright red is a bit too much 'Angel' and not enough 'Blood'. Yours goes the other way entirely, and it looks good.

Sorry, their 5th edition codex ruined them for me. Making them World Eaters-lite will just ruin the XIIth Legion by association, haha.

Good red though, and I like the black pauldrons. Black pauldrons make everything look better, just ask Iron Warriors, Salamanders and Heresy era Word Bearers.

So far today (early morning) I have been refining the white and starting on the standard.

My hope by this afternoon I have all the metallic areas finished and the ruby blood drops.

Brother when I have an idea in my head I go with it, I was originally following my idea for thousand sons red/crimson which I slightly tweaked.

there are a few areas i think you should neaten up personally.. mainly the inner edges of the silver trim and the armour just under the eye.. id also suggest going into all the recesses with a fine detail brush and a dark green wash just to pick out pannel lines etc..
