About the only thing I'd change here is painting the little skull on his backpack in white.

That's purely down to personal preference though - it looks pretty awesome in red too.

I wouldn't have brought it up, but you did ask for criticism!

The most recent Blood Angel is simply glorious.

If I ever paint any red marines, this is the first thread I'll come looking at!

so heres a nearly finished piece, just need to go grab some khorne red and paint the base and its done

Its looking good. Everything is neat and inside the lines.

Like the previous post said there are still bits to pick out like the skull on the back pack, the rope around the leg, skulls on the flamer canisters etc.

Also try and pick out the vents on the helmet with a black wash. If you can also run a black line under the eye lens to define where it stops and the helmet starts

The red looks like its had a black wash but what Id do is take a neat version of the red and then do the highlights towards the edge of the armour. Id also be tempted to mix in a bit of yellow and for for an edge highlight but this may be too bright for the look you are going for. If so you could mix in a little white and edge highlight with a very red pink colour.

I asked because I realized I'd never seen someone use these canisters for melta bombs... probably because the latter are so easy to get. I just thought it was a good idea.

Never thought about phosphex grenades. I guess I'm too used to aesthetics of the destroyers' actual ones.

Hey man these guys look cool. I like the use of the Red Scorpion bits. Gives them that real finely crafted look the Blood Angels are renowned for. It's a nice deep red you've got there as well.

Well as I've got 10 days off over Easter I got the AOK from the misses to order a big thing to keep me occupied.

 

Fellblade fits with my mechanised assault LoW but it would be smarter to get the predators. The glaive looks cool but I haven't really looked into it rules wise.

 

Horus & the SoH shall be slowly added but I'm enjoying BA so I need to stick to one thing.
