Thordendal
It was your Jeddek model that inspired me to use Khârn's bare head for something other than Khârn. Awesome paint job!
WilhelMiniatures
Looks great! I like the standard. Huge flags often looks a bit over the top. But this guy looks like he can put up a fight, even though he is holding the standard.
Ovidius Incertus
Throne! Jeddek is amazing. The face! And the Leviathan! The bronze sarcophagus is great. You achieved an awesome burnished look.
poom
Thanks guys, glad you like him! It was your Jeddek model that inspired me to use Khârn's bare head for something other than Khârn. Awesome paint job! Yeah, it is such a nice sculpt but in my opinion not fitting for Khârn. In Betrayer he is described as having no scars at all on his face, something very unsual for a World Eater. _________________ Finished a little project I have been working on for a while: http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/Marker03%2001.jpg http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/Marker03%2002.jpg Mission markers based on the dead guys from Angron, Khârn and Vulkan. Guiltysparc
oh i meant to ask, what colors did you use to get that bronze? I like it more and more everytime i look at it...almost looks like old leather.
poom
oh i meant to ask, what colors did you use to get that bronze? I like it more and more everytime i look at it...almost looks like old leather. Base is Warplock Bronze, then drybrush lightly Dwarf Brpnze and after that Glorious Gold from Game Color. Wash with thinned Darktone from Armypainter. Then add a very light Runfang Steel drybrush and at the end wash everything with the Oilwash that goes over the hole miniature. For a darker brass like on the scorpion I just leave out the Glorius Gold. _________ A very little update today.. With the new Contemptor variant in Retribution beeing more meele oriented, I took my two Contempto powerfist and repainted them to fit the newer models of this army. This is them befor the repaint: http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/c8cd19e1-ec0a-47a6-ace6-a87b040fe272.jpg I do not like the comicish look they had with those hazard stripes. Also I took the chance to magnetise a mk2 chainsword to represent a Chainfist. Somebody in this forum came up with this idea but I sadly can't remember who, to give proper credit And here they are repainted on one of my Contemptors: http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/Contemtor02_16.jpg http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/Contemtor02_15.jpg This one is now ready for a ZM game I will be attending on the weekend. Wish me luck!
T0MMY
That contemptor looks (even more) brutal now - love the chainfist conversion! I'm sure your ZM component is already terrified and you will crush him under the feet of the XII Legion (or at least have a jolly good time)! Thordendal
I feel uncomfortable imagining how that Raven Guard must feel. Hope that was the reaction you were trying to achieve Poom! Lovely contemptor. The chainsword does work well, props to whoever came up with it.

Retributis
Great looking models and those battles look great - So much more fun when everything is painted up :) Also, am I the only one wondering where those SM Statues are from? They look like a scaled up Tac Squad?!
Thousand Eyes
Well painted models always make battle reports look better. Looks like you all had a fun time anyway. I do pity those Raven Guard when the drop pod doors opened that leviathan walked out.
Dantay VI
The large marines are/were collectors editions. You still sometimes see them about online, they made a few different ones. Officially FW did the marine holding a bolt-gun. They also did busts etc, and a Big Abaddon. Not sure if FW still do the collectors stuff anymore. Poom all those armies look amazing. Ilike the last 2 rampagers, although te guy with the Mark 2 helmet, looks unfinished. Mainly its the helm just being plain white. Otherwise amazing
Aleph Null
Very nice work, any chance on the scheme used for the raven guard on your bases and diorama?Even your enemy's dead is painted to a high standard. ;)
KrautScientist
Great work, although I second dantay_xv's comment about the Mk. 2 helmet looking slightly unfinished. In fact - and please don't take this the wrong way, because I am really a huge, huge fan of your World Eaters - some of your latest finished models will occasionally seem to lack that last bit of finish. They are great and all, but every once in a while, one of the models will seem like you just wanted to be done with it -- which is understandable, of course. But it's just that missing extra bit of attention that would bring the model up to the level of your best work. Now this is nitpicking of the highest order, of course, but I couldn't help pointing it out.

They look like a scaled up Tac Squad?! As dantay_xv said, they where sold for a limited time from GW. You now and then see them on eBay for astronomical prices. My friend got them a few years ago, when they where still a bit cheaper. Well painted models always make battle reports look better. Looks like you all had a fun time anyway. I do pity those Raven Guard when the drop pod doors opened that leviathan walked out. Haha, it was awesome. But it did not work out like planned, that Raven Guard Champion nocked the Leviatan out in the second close combat round with his melta bomb The large marines are/were collectors editions. Maybe I shuld paint the lenses.. Very nice work, any chance on the scheme used for the raven guard on your bases and diorama? Even your enemy's dead is painted to a high standard. They are painted like my mechanicum, look here: http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288089-but-blood-blood-is-forever/page-15?do=findComment&comment=4137063 Great work, although I second dantay_xv's comment about the Mk. 2 helmet looking slightly unfinished. To be honest I have to agree with you, those last two guys and also the last batch of red butchers, I did not enjoy to paint. Building them was a lot of fun but then I had this accident undercoating, where the paint dryed super rough.. like sandpaper. I tried to fix it by aplying gloss varnish, but even so the oilwash flowed very different from a good undercoated model. This realy killed my motivation for them.. ____________________ Yesterday I finished painting 5 Rhinos, or more like two and three wrecks: http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/Rhino3%2006.jpg http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/Rhinos%2001.jpg http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/Rhinos%2002.jpg http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/Rhinos%2003.jpg http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/Rhino3%2004.jpg One of them can be coverted to Damocles: http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/Rhino3%2005.jpg Cheers!
