Olis
It's understated and, well, brilliant. Minimal parts for maximum effect. Very well done. :tu:
poom
Which kit is that? I am not familiar with it.. It is the sergeant (Devoured) from a Forgeworld Red Butcher squad. Indeed a very simple conversion, all I did was cut away the face and replace it with a helmet from another Butcher. Hand and hammer are from the Grey Knight terminators. For the base I want a raven guy with a smashed in helmet and the Devoured standing over him pointing "You're next"
DarkApostle7
Followed that is all that needs to be said, there is no words in existance for the sheer awesomeness of your models

Doghouse
Fantastic work on that Warhound mate. :tu: When I first saw it I thought to myself that's really nice epic titan there, then I saw the marines on the base and the scale of the piece hit me. Really amazing piece of work and the hard work and attention to detail you have put into it really has paid off.

poom
Cheers guys! how did you do the base for the titan? specifically, what do you do to achieve the sandy ground? (THIS IS AWESOME) I am very sorry for the late answer.. modelling wise I extended the Rhino terrain with the craters with plaster to get a smooth transition over the hole base. I then proceeded like with all of my bases by adding thinned PVE glue to the hole surface and adding a mix of different sized sand and some dryed plaster pieces for rocks. Basecolor for the sand is Banblade Brown drybrushed and washed with simmilar colors. To archieve the dusty look I added, after sealing the model, dry pigments to the base. I use mostly Dry Mud and Light European Earth, both from MIG. y'all got anymore of those updates? Actually yes I do Over the weekend I finished the Red Butcher additions: and both new Devoured as closeup: Next will be these three: http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/IMG_20151208_155558.jpg Apo, Praetor and Forgelord The base for the Praetor is actually one of those new plastic Cataphractii: http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/Praetor%2001%2004.jpg

KrautScientist
Fantastic work, as usual! I am really looking forward to seeing those three WIP models finished, especially the officer in Red Butcher armour! On a semi-related note, I just want to know that I recently cited you as a major influence when it came to painting my first Heresy era World Eater ;)
ckpmax1108
Those are slick paint jobs bud! The gore is really characterful and..."chunky?" (I think that's the right word for it?)
Vel'Cona
Great work! Top notch basing, but I think it's the overall attention to detail with the gore and weathering that I really like.
Urauloth
Everything in this thread is fantastic. That devoured with the hammer - that's a GK nemesis weapon, right? What did you do to it in terms of its decoration? If I recall, they have a lot of GK bling on them. Also, that guy's pose is absolutely perfect. God-Potato of Mankind
Holy hell those are some sexy World Eaters. I am digging the base and poses, very nice. Out of personal curiosity, how posable are the Butchers when it comes to non-power axe weapons?

poom
Fantastic work, as usual! I am really looking forward to seeing those three WIP models finished, especially the officer in Red Butcher armour! On a semi-related note, I just want to know that I recently cited you as a major influence when it came to painting my first Heresy era World Eater Very flattering and glad you are going fainally for the historical army. Can't wait to see more! Everything in this thread is fantastic. That devoured with the hammer - that's a GK nemesis weapon, right? What did you do to it in terms of its decoration? If I recall, they have a lot of GK bling on them. Also, that guy's pose is absolutely perfect. Yes it is the hammer from the GK terminators. I did only cut away the -][- symbols, all the rest like crossed swords etc I left and painted in metal colors without bringing them to much in focus. Holy hell those are some sexy World Eaters. I am digging the base and poses, very nice. Out of personal curiosity, how posable are the Butchers when it comes to non-power axe weapons? The arms are sadly not very posable, because the arm and shoulder are one part. So most arms are streched out, sadly no resting poses. The hands are seperate, so excahning the axe for a hammer or bolter is very easy. I also previously build some with claws, for them I cut the arm at the ellbow and added the cataphractii claws. _________________________ Finished those latest three marines: http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/Apo03_05.jpghttp://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/Apo03_06.jpg World Eater Apothecary with a freshly harvested Progenoid Gland http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/Forgelord%20Jareg%2004.jpghttp://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/Forgelord%20Jareg%2005.jpghttp://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/Forgelord%20Jareg%2006.jpg Jareg the Caedere jailer http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/Praetor%2001%2009.jpghttp://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/Praetor%2001%2010.jpghttp://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/Praetor%2001%2011.jpghttp://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/Praetor%2001%2012.jpghttp://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp282/PoomW/Praetor%2001%2013.jpg And lastly the still nameless World Eater Praetor
