Ming
Finally got this up on my blog. Been a busy winter! http://defendersofcalth.blogspot.com/2014/03/it-took-while-to-get-to-it-and-then-it.html Overall, as a marine player, the game reinforced having two or more units specifically geared to level the field by tackling the opponent's key units and ultimately being a distraction. I had a similar game a week ago on almost the same exact table for terrain vs Chaos Marines (Crimson Slaughter) with nurgle marine support. I used the same list and other than not having the same Divination spells, the game went in a very similar fashion. I do see some value in a list modification (coming soon) to splash in a podded command squad...I'll see if i can get that compiled and on the blog soon. scrimdog
Always love your style of battle report and the great miniatures. Short fast and to the point. As a fellow ultra and a regular player I enjoyed reading how through tactics good deployment and a bit of luck you took down a top tier list.
