Put a solid 5-6 hours into assembling it all yesterday but then had to put the brakes on the priming because the weather here has been shocking all day. All primed now though so work can push ahead :D

 

Glad you like him, Took me an eternity to get the posing right, dry fitting is a pain. Decided he's going to be my last infantry model since I'm going all guns blazing to knock him out the park. Rhino and Sicaran going to be last out the gate since they're my treat for persevering with a bucket load of infantry haha

Tap – tap. Tap - tap. Tap - tap. Those two sounds were the only thing that could be heard beyond the gentle whispers of the wind and the slight hum of active war-plate in the distance. The first was pleasing to the assembled brotherhood. Rich, red vitae leaking from a multitude of wounds. The second was even more invigorating. The expression of agony through the only means their victim had left. Fate had been a cruel mistress to deliver him to such an end, but fate was a spineless concept to the gathering, holding even less regard than morality or compassion.

 

The victim, for victim he was, not a warrior felled in combat, nor a soldier taken by the tides of battle, lacked everything but the most essential components of life and even those organs were failing. His limbs, his eyes, his ears, nose, and even lower jaw removed; part of the tally of 184 ritualistic wounds given by a blade. The only way left to articulate his torment through the hitting of the remains of his skull against the hull of the storm eagle he was pinned to, a pair of large steel spars rammed through his clavicles to hold him in place. His proud armour cast aside so that his flesh could offer a bounty of blood to the killers surrounding him. Only one remained close now, the others, having made their cut had retreated to watch the spectacle in silence.


The victim could barely hear his approach, only the itching on his flayed flesh a sign that a demi god stood within reach. His voice, when it came, was whispered so softly that he had to strain even further through his agonies to hear it, knowing what was to come.

 

“You always were a fool Hurophion. Claws cast aside. VIII Legion blood wasted out of spite. Blades blunted out of false pride.” The victim barely felt the steel against the remains of his ribs as the whisper continued. “You ordered the Fratum Cadeverosa to death because you are nothing but a blind, arrogant s***. You forsook us you bastard. Well, these are the Carrion Brotherhood no longer. These are yours no longer. They are mine now. And they have seen your blood price paid. Sevatar sends his regards.”

 

Without pause or any inflection, he gently slide the blade through Hurophion’s hearts, twisting as it struck the adamantium of the hull beneath.

 

Turning to face his men, Barbastellan Lasiurus  held his bloody blade high. “From this moment, the 14th are no longer Fratum Cadeverosa. From now until dust, we are Forsaken”

Ok it's been something of an eternity since I last updated this but the hobby mojo is once again alive and kicking in addition to committing myself to the ETL, I've now got the most brutal incentive of all to get myself going.
