Wonderful Ultras. I think I like these even more than your Raptors (and that's sayin something, coming from me )

Much prefer the lighter shade of blue compared to the GW painted Ultras, It makes them look more realistic.

Another quick update. The Tartaros dudes are all done and a tac squad is all done bar all the magnetized weapons.  I love this project so much im considering my own pre heresy force, wallet permitting.

The power sword i tried some NMM just to see if in small amounts you could mix techniques.  I did so because of it being a power weapon and energized it may appear different to the naked eye rather than the usual electric effects that get used.

Unfortunately my rubbish camera work has washed out the freehand laurels on the helmets, but you get the general idea.  Now the tac squad is done i will get them all based in between the next squad and get some proper pictures up.

The heat stains on the weapon barrels featured on your land raider and the soot on the exhausts in particular are well done.  The tank itself has a crisp paintjob with some well executed highlighting. Keep up the good work.

The Raider looks splendid, especially the interior.  Also really like your heat markings on the asscannon barrel...I do them pretty much exactly the same way.  Do  you do sepia wash, brown wash and stop there, or do you add in some purple or black wash at the muzzle end?

 

The whole force comes together when the battle damage is applied.

Cheers guys. I literally just Google imaged titanium exhausts and used the same on them. Yellow wash then red then purple then blue.

 

I applied the first two colours with an airbrush but the last two with a brush.
