Urael
After a long time of admiring the Art Scale/ True scale marines, I decided it was time to try it myself. Size comparison shot with a very nervous Guardsman. Brother Axion, of the Iron Hands Brother Cayde, of the Death Spectres Brother Alexi, of the Dark Hunters Brother Castael, of the Dark Angels Brother Telecos, of the Howling Griffons. If anyone has any ideas on what other chapters to do, LMK. Urael
Doghouse... you just made my day! :) A thumbs up from you on Art/Truescale is like a hug from the Pope! Your work, and that of Lamenter, was what inspired me. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/290211-truescale-deathwatch-project-or-why-i-drink-heavily/#findComment-3665639 Share on other sites

Urael
I followed Lamenter's tutorial at Masteroftheforge, but modified the arms by lengthening above and below the elbows. Veteran Sergeant
That's a good looking bunch there, well proportioned and dynamic. How do you get true/artscale minis? Depends on how you want to go about them and how big you think/want them to be. There are quite a few tutorials out there, and different methods. But, as the title suggests, it's a lot of work, lol. Fortunately my hobby fatigue from doing them just turns into long dormant periods where I just don't work on them, and not alcohol consumption. reckoning
Convincingly proportional. Good job! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/290211-truescale-deathwatch-project-or-why-i-drink-heavily/#findComment-3666002 Share on other sites
Urael
Some good looking Marines. They size up quite nicely next to that Guardsman. Are you using these guys for a Deathwatch campaign, or as a unit for 40K? Either way, lovely stuff. Looking forward to seeing more. -Tarvik Both, and a bit more... They are modelled after characters in my Deathwatch Rpg campaign ( Castael is my character ), they will be used as allies for a Guard army, and I am working on some rules for a Space Hulk styled game for them as well. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/290211-truescale-deathwatch-project-or-why-i-drink-heavily/#findComment-3666199 Share on other sites
