Astute readers will notice a slight greenish tinge to my paragon blade to show that it's real Calibinite steel.

 

 

What's done for my vow:

10 tacticals

Spartan

Praetor(almost)

 

What's left:

10 tacticals

10 terminators

MoS

5 missile guys

3 Jetbikes

7 volkites

 

Terminators are primed and MoS is being painted as we speak, all others are built and need mostly priming on up.

 

Comments and concerns? :P

Destroyer squad finished! Only the Moritat left before vow is complete

I like. Sometimes, less is more. Definitely fits the Destroyer Cadre's simple but brutal looks.

One piece of constructive criticism - you might want to consider highlighting the edges of the armor plates (as well as the bonding studs on the shoulder pads) with some gunmetal. A little dry brushing with that stuff will give you the worn look. Also, putting small splotches of glue on certain parts of the armor and then sprinkle some sugar/salt on will give you the effect that the Destroyer's armor is being damaged by his own weapons.

I've been tardy in providing an update. So here we go, figures mostly assembled (just need to attach the breachers' arms once the shields are finished), base coated, and washed. The tactical squad have had the brass and steel highlights, and are awaiting work on the ceramite. The work on the breachers' shields is my concurrent activity.

In the background you'll see Typhon awaiting the final highlight to his armour, as well as the odd bit of finishing work. The completed breacher and deathshroud are there for reference and Morty is my stretchgoal and not yet part of the pledge msn-wink.gif

This weekend, I plan to make a start on the two Spartans and the Typhon smile.png

I have my airbrush working so hopefully I will be able to get a lot of my stuff done at the weekend! 500 points there and then the next vow I can fill with vehicles!

Thanks wolf_pack, I will be doing a full diorama (using the Fulgrim & Ferrus combination) on a large oval base with Gorgons fighting Phoenix Guard but not for a while yet - once my current ETL vow is done (allowing for a festival in 2 weeks) in a month I'll start work on my standard bearer (see my thread on this forum) mini diorama :)
