I like him!

One thing I'd change though. On his axe, try concentrating the blood splatter to a single area with a large *splot* and a few streaks trailing away from it. It makes it much more characterful, like we could visualize the chop that took a limb off.

Other than that, weathering looks ace! Well on your way to building some blood crazed psychos.

Thanks for all the positive feedback. I for one was happy with how he turned out. Khârn the Bloody and Flint13 this was my second ever attempt at the Blood for the Bloodgod technical paint and I am still working out how to best use it. I did not want to over do it on this guy as he is going to be a Tactical Sarge but my melee troops like Red Butchers and Rampagers will be caked in the stuff. In regards to the axe I agree with you Flint13, I tried to do the effect you described and messed it up. I will have plenty more minis coming that I can practice on though.

What next? Terminator I think.

Long time no post, have not had much hobby time but did a few hours the other day and thought id get you good peoples opinions. The gun is not finished and there are one or two bits to touch up but hope you get the idea. As mentioned before I was keen to do a Terminator next so here he is, meet my first Devourer.

Russ Brother 92 the bronze was rather simple:

Chaos Black primer

Hashut Copper drybrushed

Shining Gold drybrushed

Devlan Mud heavily washed all over

Shining Gold lightly drybrushed on all raises areas

Didnt want to add a brighter colour as I want them to look the ruddy copper you see above. Thanks for the compliment too.

Well Heathens you will get your wish, I plan on a whole squad of these fellows and yes I do plan to do a whole army of the XII legion. Hopefully I can get 1000pts done in the next couple of months and see where it goes from there. Expect to see Angron (hes been sitting in the box he came in for over a year as do not dare paint him yet) and Rampagers are being worked on slowly in the background.
