STATUS OF THE TRAITOR IMPERIAL KNIGHTS.

 

Thanatos is a daemon prince in service to the "dealer", and has since been hunting down his brothers. The gene-seed of the traitors has changed under the touch of the warp dealer. It moves on it's own, searching for a new body. These are kept by the traitor knights for study and implantation. Their numbers growing thanks to the gene-seed's new ability to make copies of itself, like a virus. The traitors collect them, and use them in the process creating more psykers of their ilk.

DRAGON INCURSION ACT 1: THE MALEVOLENT KNIGHT

The 2 legions that made up the draconian dominion were fortifying for a great undertaking, millenniums have passed and now the draconian army shall wage war on the imperium of man. Anointed by grimlock and given the blessings of father morpheus. Alucard "the malevolent knight" gathers an army containing 30 thousand crimson dragons, 20 thousand sons of malice, and millions of mortal and mechanical support. He was sent to the ghoul stars, the system closest to their former segmentium. The mission is to retake it, for the glory of the dominion.

Alucard was looking out the viewing screen at the segmentium he learned about when he was a boy and growled when he saw people living on it, people not native to the worlds and stomping on the bones of his ancestors.

"I burned a thousand worlds in the name of my lord morpheus, I brought ruin to the ruinous powers, and laid low many imperialists. I personally slain many a champion of either faction. I am the malevolent knight, and all will burn in dragon fire". He ended with an order to begin the attack, and assaulting the imperium. The reply was the thunderous roars of the draconian army as they exit the warp and open fire, they ignited the worlds in fire, using the very method he loyalists used on them. "execute the exterminatus, BURN THEM ALL!" yelled the commander of the main operation.

The planets burned and billions were destroyed under the guns of the crimsons dragons, the skies lit with fire as the worlds burned, they hit each one they could, before running out of those rounds. After they finished with that, they began dropping onto the remaining worlds and began putting them to the sword or converting them to the worship of their father. They fought all over the place, but the fiercest battle was fought at the system known as "the black gate" the direct route to the baldr segmentium, and from there the Sol segementium. Leading this battle personally was the malevolent knight himself, his red powersword gleaming with the light of eternal flame."CHARGE! BRING DOWN THOSE WHO STAND IN OUR WAY!" he charged along with thousands of crimson dragon and son of malice marines. so ends act 1

DRAGON INCURSION ACT 2: THE GREAT GATE

(PLANET KROSIS 1st black gate)

The planet served as a bulwark to the other segmentiums baldr and sol, and would be tested by the former inhabitants themselves armed with "dragios" and the full might of 2 legions. The guard's regiment on this planet" knights of lupus" send the call all over the planet when they receive reports of worlds burning, at the hands of horned warriors that bare the mark of an unknown faction. Leading these men is grom "iron blood" brumak, a living saint of the "sacred angel" that sits on the throne of terra. He wields a great hammer made of mithril, and leads the guardsmen in battle. The saint stands tall and his words are heard over the din of battle.

"FACE ME MALEVOLENT KNIGHT, FACE ME AND RECEIVE THY JUDGEMENT" he cried his challenge to alucard, as the battle waged. Alucard responded in kind,"its your judgment at hand 'saint", not mine" then he charged forth, killing any imperial that gets in his way. The saint did the same thing, they smashed their way to the center where they quickly struck at each other as they got closer, the fury present in their forms. Grom charged into alucard, his hammer speeding toward the terminator's face, but was blocked by alucard's sword and was pushed back. Alucard swung faster and faster trying to kill the saint, grom barely parrying each blow."is this all the false emperor and the wingless one can muster? i'm disappointed." he swings again and again, finally knocking the hammer out of grom's hand and swung the blade down ready to end the man's life, till a plasma cannon round hit the ground near them and knocked the two apart.

Grom slowly got to his feet and made his way inside the gate,clutching his wounded left side. The men inside barricaded the door after he got in, malice marines moments behind him attacking the door. Grom made his way to the com towers and managed to get a message to terra before he heard the door come down, the sounds of his men being slaughtered. Alucard was at the front of the horde tearing the mortals to bits. He saw grom make a break for it and opened fire, one bullet hit grom in the shoulder tearing off his arm and landing him in the shrine room. Alucard walked in as grom sent prayers to the angel order and the emperor.

"The only one who can hear your prayers is me, and I won't be answering hahaha" he gripped grom's skull and tore it off howling."the gates are ours!" He shouted unaware of the loyalist forces enroute.

The imperial knights legion was gathered under their primarch, to cleanse the "black gates" of the traitorous spawn of morpheus and solidus. Hades stood tall, with his hammer in hand and gave the order to attack the invaders when they arrive.

DRAGON INCURSION ACT 3: THE IMPERIAL RESPONSE

The dragon army was celebrating their victory over the imperium at the black gates and prepare to push further and breech the baldr sector, while some stayed to fortify and fix their former worlds there. The malevolent knight knew an imperial response was coming and they had to be ready, cause they finally have a foot hold into reality and would fight to the death to defend it.

 

" get those defenses mounted up, i can sense the spawn of the fool hades." jekyll a dragon priest barked to make the mortals and marines work faster. Alucard stood vigil over the black gates till he saw the lights in the sky, and then drop-pods smashing into ts he ground with imperial knight POURING from them like bees from a hive.

 

 

Alucard was knocked to the floor of the top gate, as imperial thunder-hawks sped across the planet. Jekyll was the quickest to recover"ATTACK!!!!! FOR THE TALONS AND THE DRAGON LORD!!" the marines recovered and opened fire on the knights, showering the ground in bodies from both sides spilling fresh blood on the ground.The knights were outnumbered but fought with cold fury, blasting apart the dragon marines and the malice marines. The air was painted with the smell, sound, and sight of gunfire and sorcery. The hills and mountains obliterated, the sea boiled, and the very nature of the planet was altered. Alucard entered the fray and began slaughtering the knight, his fury and claws unleashed. He struck down knight after knight with sword and pistol, spraying legionary blood on the corpses of their fallen. It was during a duel with a imperial knight master, that his bolt pistol was severed.

Alucard spun and chopped off the master's head in kind, and began gathering his brothers to really fight the knight, turning the tide of the battle and putting the knights on the offensive. The knights were being pushed back, but some masters rallied them back to the fight. The fighting was so fierce and brutal, it attracted the attentions of the "ruinous powers". They gathered their power over the warp and tore a hole there, sending their warriors to krosis to add to the blood shed. It seems the fears of the builders of the gates were realized.

DRAGON INCURSION ACT 4: CHAOS ARRIVES ON KROSIS

The battle became a 3-way battle royal with the addition of chaos warriors, warbands by the thousands descended onto the war being fought with ferocity and madness. The largest of the warbands was led by a deamon prince of chaos undivided straight from the sons of zivion. The horde of chaos slammed into the lines of both armies of loyalist and dominion, the planet seeming to drown in blood and war. The dominion retreated inside the very gates they were assaulting, and held up in there. The knights rallied around their primarch and took cover behind broken walls and ruins. The chaos marines came in waves like a tsunami of bodies crashing against the defenses of the other two sides. They sent demons to bare against the imperial knights while attacking the warriors of the dragon.

The knights at the bidding of their primarch charged to meet their opponents swords and bolters raised, shouting their battle-cry at the demons bearing down on them.They hacked and slashed each-other in a ruined courtyard, the knights giving their all to halt the demons while the remaining mortal defenders rally around them."our shields for the emperor, we stand ready!" 1 marine shouted, causing the others to form a shield wall and causing them to push the demons back. Hades swung his sword to and fro while keeping his hammer sheathed, he broke demon skulls and carved open deamon princes. The knights held their own during the battle.

 

(CRIMSON DRAGONS VS CHAOS MARINES)

 

 

The crimson dragon marines stood fast against the chaos horde that was sent their way, blades swinging and sorcery cast against the tide. The battles raged everywhere as chaos fought loyalists and (for the lack of a better term) separatists, sometimes having the 2 sides back-to-back fighting the demonic horde. Hades had gone to confront the main demon prince leader, while alucard and his dragon priests gathered for a ritual with alucard guarding the site to buy them time. The dragons kept chaos at bay, purging them for breaking their oaths."NEVER FORGET. NEVER FORGIVE!" was the common cry of the dragons as they unleashed their wrath on the enemy. While the imperial knights began attacking the leader of the chaos forces, the dragons fell back to the gates to give time for the ritual. Hades was making his way towards the ritual site while his sons fought the demon prince, his honor guard follows him into the attack on the dragons.

 

 

Hades led them into gates swinging his sword through multiple dragon marines, with his honor fighting through even with losses. He pushed his way through a few of his guards remaining behind to hold off the enemy re-reinforcements from coming through." time to end this" hades whispered as he made his way to the top,killing every dragon marine in his way. He made it to the top of the gate where he was met by alucard himself,"you shall not interrupt" he said his eyes glowing with warp power. Hades charged him as he unleashed his psykic power but it wasn't enough, not against a primarch. Hades cleaved alucard in two and continued walking to the circle, only for it to explode revealing dante in his ascended glory. Hades stared at him,"dante" he spat, as dante readied his sword and grinned. This act ends and the final one begins.

DRAGON INCURSION FINAL ACT : HADES VS THE "BATTLE KING" OF THE DRAGON DOMINION

Hade glared at this "deamon" while unsheathing pluto, and preparing to strike."i have been summoned, and it's to face you? excellent." The beast readied his large burning blade, pointing it at hades and laughing all the while."you will BURN DEMON!" hades shouted as he charged dante, who roared and ran to meet him. Dante swung his blade towards hades, who dodged causing the sword to slam into the ground and collapsing the entrance up to their level. Hades quickly took advantage of the miss strike and slams Pluto into Dante's chest, pushing him back. Hades followed through with a hay-maker but dante recovered quickly enough and grabbed it with his arm, then slammed hade into the admantium floor. "hnnngh" he growled when he landed, and quickly rolled out of the way when dante's  larged clawed foot came crashing down. Hades got up and swung Pluto again at dante, who batted him aside and reclaimed his sword. Hade stood up again and they face each-other, already crossing blades and tearing up large parts of the gate. The force of this battle along with the damage already inflicted on the gates, caused it to collapse as they fought. Hades leaped into the air with his weapon raised as this was going on, intent to slay dante who was poised to do the same.

The two combatants fought even more as they fell, sounds of their weapons clashing echoing with the sounds of battle below. Hades leaped from debris to debris, avoiding dante's swings and landing his own. They continued this way till they landed and were buried in rubble from the gate. The war halted for a moment and silence filled the air, as all eyes fell upon the wreckage. Five minutes passed as the combatants halted and they were going to resume their war, when the rubble shook. The three armies watched as rubble broke apart and hades crawled out, bloodied but not broken. The imperial knights cheer as their primarch stands tall, the dragon army was silent and watching. Hades took two steps when dante burst forth, body cloaked in flame and rage. Hades again raised Pluto to be swung again, but growled in shock and pain when dante severs the hand holding pluto. He then kicked hades down, and repeatedly stomped him into the dirt. Some of the imperial knights ran to help their liege but were held back by warp fire, trapping hades with dante. Hades rolled out o the way of the foot and pulled out a sword with his remaining hand, ready to fight till the end. 

 

 

 

The combatants circled each-other waiting for the opportune moment to strike, only the sounds of flame, feet, and breathing can be heard. Few minutes later they strike, barreling into one another like beasts, each putting their all into killing the other. The howls and yells of battle as all see how demi-gods wage war, hades swinging the sword like he's always used his left hand while dante carves the earth with his burning blade. The ground breaks as they tear into their opponent, blood pouring down hade's sides and dante's head. They clashed once more, determined to end this." DIE YOU UNHOLY ABOMINATION!" roared hades as he pierced dante's stomach, but suffered a blow to the face from dante's mighty claws."the time of the knight is over, and all that remains for you "uncle" is a trophy for my father." with that he chops off hade's remaining arm and then his head. He pulled out the sword in his stomach and lifted hade's head as the fire wall fell," the emperor's shield has fallen as will he and the imperium!" the dragon army roared in triumph, while the chaos warriors fled the battle. The imperial knights tried to recover their father but only succeeded with taking his arms and weapons. Dante took the head and corpse of the knight primarch back to his father morpheus.  The dragon incursion is over.

DRAGON INCURSION: AFTERMATH

 

 

 

(imperium)

 

The imperial knights returned a broken legion and finally consented to the codex astartes penned ironically by the direwolf primarch before his madness. The segmentium of space the dragon have invaded is now being watched by chapters of the imperial knights, along with a few archangel chapters. The arms of hades still gripping their weapons, were placed into protected shrines and often used in ceremony and to remind the knights of what he taught them. 

 

 

A life-sized painted statue of hades stands in the center of the knights monastery, depicting hades hours before the call to war that was his last. Every time a chapter of the imperial knight legion is called to fight against the dragon army, they're anointed by a knight master at the monastery with the blood of hades still dripping from the weapons.

 

 

(DOMINION)

 

Dante had brought the head and body of hades to morpheus's feet, this caused morpheus to laugh in a dark manner and rewarded dante with the right to wear hade's skull around his neck. Kwylo nods in respect to dante for slaying one of the most hated of their loyalists uncles. The body was cleared of the flesh and hung in an array of chains while the flesh was consumed by the sons of solidus, as is their way.

Alucard was also rewarded for his services in the campaign by ascension, his body parts rose into the air and merged back together before being made into the image of a "gilded devil" the elite forces that served directly under one of the five talons. He now follows dante whenever he goes into battle, and brings painful destruction to the foes of his father and god.

CHAOS SPECIAL UNITS 

 

DEVIL-DOG - special warriors of khorne born exclusively in the dire-wolf legion. They're the fully insane bestial forms of the legion, further twisted by khorne. Few of these beast arise from the legion due to each attempting to reach that position, the most bloodthirsty of this legion. The only ones of the legion not interested in this are inuyasha(who is a daemon prince), kratos and his followers.

SIRENS - These are usually found in the warbands of the unholy siren's legion. They like mythical sirens, lure mortals to their deaths or to be used (in the case of boys) as recruits to their warband and as personal slaves. The creatures often stay amongst themselves unless a warlord can gain their favor or offer them something they desire.

LUNAR MASTERS - These things were once the highest of the lunar fang hierarchy, just right under the primarch. This along with the close kinship they shared with the moon demon, caused them to change much worse then their brothers. They take on the form of various aquatic creatures, but can move through space like fish through water. This has caused them to also be used as vessels by their brothers, and this affects those who mange to join this "glorious ascension".

 

 

OUTCASTERS - Unlike the others mentioned, this is considered a mark of failure. The things originate in the wolf spider legion, it's not known how but it seems to be linked to how valued they are to their primarch. They are turned into these beasts if they fail a high task or attempt betrayal. These beast unfortunately are plentiful but are mainly found in the warp. They can infest a world in a matter of days if left unchecked. They are cast out of the warbands they come from and are ordered to be shot on sight, should they return.

I've decided to take care of the primarch stories, like of what happened to them, and then i'll do the actual origination of each legion before and after the rebellion.

From the investigations of inquisitor brumak, ordu hereticus on the loyalist and traitor legions before and after the rebellion. 

 

LEGION ORGANIZATION - GILDED DEMONS/CRIMSON DRAGONS 

 

Before rebellion - gilded demons

 

The demons were placed in six "cults", for the six animal spirits of furon. They were white tigre, yellow spider, red devils, black dragons, green bear, and the purple snake. The break down of this was do to each preferred school of magic.

 

 

White Tiger

 

This cult dealt with the "fury" of a tiger, they attack with quick and powerful magic, often ripping apart the very foundations of whatever it's turned against. They wear a white with green detail, the mark of a tiger on their chest-plates. This has caused some to believe they came from the iron fang legion, but has since stopped after being explained.

 

Yellow spider

 

This cult is more of the strategists of the legion, always planning traps and manipulating the battlefield to aide their efforts in the area. They mostly wear a yellow helm and detail over a bronze armor. They mark their armor with the web of a spider, and often use styles similar to them. They have cut apart many a warlord or xeno's plan.

 

Red Devils

 

These guys are the mavericks of the legion, they don't do conventional warfare, but often "look outside the box" on it. They learned this magic from morpheus' original tribe, something few of the other cults can boast. They learned to harness the power of the  rushu, which means demons in the furon tongue.

 

Black Dragons

 

It's unclear why morpheus has a cult with the name of the tribe that was the instrument of his tribes almost destruction, but they have learned to tame the dragons of the planet and use them as mounts for combat. This cult utilizes the destructive nature of dragon fire, to bring down the most iron willed of machines. This has earned them the animosity of the tech priests of mars, and caused a cold war between the two.

 

Green Bear

 

The "apothecary" group of the legion, they bring forth the energy of the world and use it to heal, or destroy  ally and enemy retrospectively. They wear emerald green on their fists and helmets, and keep the rest of the armor in the legion's colors. They help the food production of planets conquered by their legion, and often reflect the good nature of their primarch.

 

Purple Snakes

 

These guys showcase the "silver tongue" of morpheus, they negotiate with those who surrender, or erode those that don't, they are the true "demons" of the legion. They fight like snakes, waiting to strike at the perfect moment in any fight. They fight dirty if they have to, but like all their brothers, they have a loyalty to their primarch and each-other that they don't behave violently to the others. It was them who convinced the younger tech priests to join them in the rebellion.

 

 

AFTER - CRIMSON DRAGONS

 

After the rebellion, the dynamics changed. There six cults, eventually dissolved into becoming the  pillars of morpheus with the sixth group becoming the foundation for the devil guard. There is no more distinction of magical practices, just the united front of the dragon army. The structure of the legion has changed quite a bit. 

 

WAR-locks

 

These legionnaires form the backbone of the dragon army and after gaining the geneseed, are trained non-stop in the arts of war and make grand use of battle magic and force weapons. They patrol the "dragon's maw" portion of the warp, and their original segmentium. These guys basically act like thousand sons with world eater tendencies but loyal to each-other like it's a lifeline.

 

Dragon Priest

 

These guys are the "keepers of the faith", they ensure that people believe in morpheus as their leader and in some cases a god. They also work as summoners and morale support, using sorcery to enhance their brothers to further feats of combat and defense. They tend to travel in groups of 9, though it is unknown what this number is for other then they had been the 9th legion during the crusade.

 

Gilded Devil

 

These beings are quite a sight, looking sort of like demon princes, but without the horrid "corrupting aura" that surrounds them. They are few in number, however they are the greatest threat the enemy openly see. The creatures vary according to what talon they are under, the master of the attack on the black gates alucard, has been found to be among these beasts.

 

Devil-guard

 

These are the mysterious individuals that seem to rank higher then the gilded devils, and are even rarer. They are rarely seen except deeper in the dominion of the crimson dragons, or on missions given to them by morpheus himself. The guards all seem to have a mutation that allows them to mimic their surroundings.

Legion organization - LUNAR FANG 

BEFORE -

The legion was dangerous and masters of piloting. They are based of the great sea beasts of terra and of neptune's homeworld. The hierarchy is in constant changing, with the whole "accidents" era that kept happening to less liked commanders. 

 

 

KRAKEN

 

The kraken are the elite warriors, who stand at the right hand of neptune. They were as fierce as the mythological creature they were named for, and were the personal guards of their primarch. They showed no mercy or pity in battle or recruiting, tearing children from their parent's (alive or dead didn't matter) arms and indoctrinated them heavily.

 

OCEANUS

 

These guys were named after the legion master before neptune took the reigns, he let them keep it cause he liked how they worked. They are the swirling tide, and oversee the looting of cities and entire worlds. They are precision obsessed, and strike like a scapel into the enemy.

 

LEVIATHAN 

 

Where the oceanus are a scalpel, they are a cutlass. They are the dreadnoughts of the legion, body outfitted with mechanics which they use to deadly affect. They are also the techmarines of the legion, often repairing the ships of the legion, even during battles. They also do the best at causing fear.

 

 

After

 

The organization is the same, save for the leviathans. They splintered from the legion to pursue their own goals, often being the quickest to be possessed by a daemon or turned into a worse for of daemon prince.

LEGION ORGANIZATION - DIREWOLVES  

 

BEFORE -

 

These guys worked like the spartans of old, a man at the side and back. They were organized into 13 companies, each under command of a "centurion" and held closely under inuyasha's watch. They specialize in assaults, something they have a rivalry with the golden eagle legion. They fight like a mixture of soldier and beast, working in tandem but showing a ferocity only seen in wolves. They were honorable but brutal fighters, often slaughtering entire cities in their wake. The thirteen companies were recruiting and fighting at the same time.

 

 

 

AFTER

 

There is no organization for these insane butchers, they're minds taken by khorne, or through their own bestial nature.

ACT 1: THE PLAGUE LORD CALLS

 

The grim reaper legion have for centuries worked with the lord of decay but refused joining whether by choice or by force, with the ones by force being quickly slain as well as those by choice. The primarch of the legion has taken every measure to ensure his sons don't rot away before their task is done. He's in the midst of planning when he sees a vision in the toxins he's mixing,  it's an image of his great enemy the fire angel. "hm, i see. anumas, prepare the legion for war." he uttered before going to pick up his own weapon.

 

Anumas: my lord primarch, you know this could be a trap by the lord of decay? i mean he's tried to take us by promises and force.

 

Charon: i'm quite aware, but that's why i'm entrusting you to keep your brothers in my teachings.

 

Anumas is left speechless, and charon is gone before he can reply."my father, my lord. i will not fail you." he walks into the darkness.

 

The legion was all geared up for this war their gene-sire intended, even the stoic death-guard members were curious over their target. They know very well the dislike their father has for the plague lord, he only tolerates anumas cause he's still loyal only to him. The death-guard ensure their lord's safety and the loyalty of the legion remains only to him, often putting hundreds of their brothers to the torch and sword."our lord calls for us to wage war, even though it was the plague creature that gave him the vision." one said, while another asks if the primarch trusts this message." thats what WE'RE for. to deal with any plan the fat cretin would hatch" 1 of the less cold members said while raising his maul. The others agreed and awaited their destination, silence and grim demeanor over the entire fleet. They would eventually arrive over the home-world of their most hated enemy. (this act is over)

ACT 2: SIEGE OF DESPAIR 

 

 

The attack on "the angel of fire"'homeworld had no great warcry or roar, the reapers just attacked without mercy or pity. They assaulted the world with extreme discipline and meticulous planning, the reapers made themselves known by carving their symbol into the main city of the planet. The response to this was immediate, the fire angels on the planet rushed up to meet them, while a distress signal was sent to their primarch. The fire angels defended their home, banter usually heard against loyalist and traitor was absent here, words were not wasted on eachother as the battle was waged. The fire angel ships "the phoenix" and "scarlet dawn" were the first ones attacking the invaders, while others worked to halt enemy troop deployment. 

 

 

"the cursed traitors are assaulting us from the back!" shouted a fire angel captain over the vox of the ship "the phoenix", while shots are being fired upon them by the reaper flagship "BLACK HAND". A call had gone out for all fire angel successors to help defend their homeworld from the invasion of the reapers, as defenses fell and plagues were unleashed. The angels fought hard against the assault of the grim reapers but slowly lost ground, till eventually the reapers made planet fall, including charon himself. He gave orders to torch the city, when cannons pelted his attacking force from the sky. He looked up as the ships landed and recognized the flag ship of pyros the" FIRE BIRD", the moment the ships landed and pyros stepped out, charon raised NEVERMORE.

 

"DEATH!!!!!!!!!!!" shouted charon as he charged towards pyros, followed by shouts of "RUUUUIIIIINN!!!!!!!!!!" by his sons. Pyros answered in kind with " BURN!!!!" also answered by his sons" WITH FLAME OF HUMANITY!".

 

The two sides collided in a sea of bodies, as it was said. The angel has come. (thats it for this act)
