ACT 3: THE ANGEL COMES 

 

 

 

Pyros has come to the defense of his homeworld, spear in hand and skewering reaper marines on his way to charon. His stride through the battlefield unbroken, his eyes only upon his former brother now mortal(?) enemy. He gripped his spear tightly  as he surged forth to bring charon down, the "lord of death" running to meet him to the sound of their sons fighting once more. This time it would be the reaper to strike the first blow, his scythe slashing down onto pyro's armor.

 

"you're pretty bold to attack us here, not how you normally operate." pyros stated as he swung his spear to block the attack, then spent the spear around and smacked charon in the face. Charon recovered quickly and jammed his scythe into pyro's arm and pinned him to the ground. "no one, not even an angel can escape the reaper." he replied and began pushing the blade into pyro's arm and dragged pyro through debris and wreckage.

 

Pyros was trying to stay conscious during the assault, moving his spear as best he could and successfully skewered one of Charon's lungs. This caused Charon to back off, letting go of his scythe to pull the spear out of his neck. Pyros used the distraction to pull out the sword morpheus gave him, during the last moments he believed they still had brotherhood. At this moment Charon removed the spear and broke it. then he retrieved his scythe.

 

Pyros didn't speak this time, just charged and swung the sword at Charon, who blocked causing the blade to slide off and scratch his gauntlet. Charon retaliated by spinning his scythe around like a weed-whacker, intent on cutting pyros to ribbons. Pyros aimed his blade and leaped toward Charon, with reaper doing the same. The result of this was Charon's scythe going through pyro's chest, and the sword going through Charon's throat. The two stood frozen in that embrace dead. THIS THE END(finally) OF ACT 3

ACT 4: THE LEGEND DIES/AFTERMATH

 

Silence filled the air, as both sides turn to see the dead demi-gods. The grim reapers and the fire angels felt the demise of their gene-sires that day. The psychic might of the two, upon their deaths, froze that area in a state of suspended animation. The eyes of the two primarchs shiny bright, the fire of pyros, and icy death of Charon. With their deaths, the fight went out of the fire angels, their descendants, and the grim reapers. The grim reapers took up the helmet of their gene sire and fled.The fire angels collected the broken spear of their gene-sire and became a fleet based chapter, as they declared their homeworld to be a shrine-world. They orbit around it, defending the planet from desecration of any kind. The 1st ever chapter master was jesus, the 12th captain. It is unknown why, but after this battle a great purge was done on the grim reapers by their own hands. Those who wanted to turn to nurgle and resurrect their gene-sire, were executed. The purge lasted an unknown amount of time, but the legion splintered, though all now answer in some form to anumas.

LEGION ORGANIZATION - SOUL RAVENS

 

 

 

The soul ravens, one of the "pillar" loyalists legions. Much about them is strange and stewed in mysticism. But as for their command divisions. They are split into various styles which shall be covered below.

 

 

YOUNGLING - every neophyte is called this when they first enter the soul raven legion. These are the more common marines you'll see. they don't drop the title youngling, till they advance to the later ranks and titles.

 

 

SOULBORN - these are the next in the chain, here they have some distinction. they get more respect, and earn a spirit name, and are called that by their brothers, each name is unique and no two have ever had the same name, not even twins.

 

RAVEN-FORGED - this for those who are ready to be truly tested by the raven-lord himself, few of them actually make it this far. Those that pass the raven's test become full fledged marines, and earn full honors of a proper soul raven.

 

SPECTERS - These are the personal guards of the raven-lord, each who join the ranks is tested by the previous specters before them, no mercy or quarter is given to those who would fly with the raven.

 

AFTER THE REBELLION

 

After this event, the structure remained much the same, with addition of a new division.

 

EYE OF THE RAVEN - this grouping is special because unlike their other brothers, they can still "hear and see" the ravenlord. They use this as way to understand what the will of their lord is. They gain the tattoo of remus' personal mark on their foreheads and their eyes become pupil less.

I forgot to mention that due to what happened to them, the sons of malice legion will not be featured in the organization structures i'm writing. Just assume they have been absorbed a bit into the crimson dragon army.

LEGION ORGANIZATION - ARCHANGELS  

 

The "king of angels" had kept 7 "choirs" made for his legion, each dedicated to 1 of the 7 heavenly virtues though they can and will be war if necessary.

 

REBELLION - BEFORE

 

1ST CHOIR -  This one deals with the virtue of Chasity, disciplining themselves to be able to resist all forms of lust and desire. Their armor is decked with a blue line going down their right vambrace. Their personal symbol is that of the golden laurel

 

 

2ND CHOIR - The next group deals with the virtue of temperance. They practice calmness and constant self-control due to their heavy psyker nature and focus as much as they can to insure their brothers aren't caught in the crossfire. They wear a black aquila on their left shoulder pad.

 

3RD CHOIR - This one is devoted to the virtue of "charity" they are kind to the innocent, and unlike their cousins save the gilded demons, they don't care what species they are save eldar in which case they spare the children while the demons spare no one. Their armor has the symbol for peace on their left shoulder pad, though heavily altered.

 

4TH CHOIR -  Diligence is the stance for this choir, the most zealous of helios's sons reside in this choir. They are the most eager to fight of the 7 choirs, and are actually the smallest due to it being where the zealous marines that go to far are sent. Their armor is the same save for their gauntlets being red, and a large Z on their breastplates.

 

5TH CHOIR - patience falls to this group, they may not be to the level of the sons of the "great scorpion", but they do better then their brethren in the other choirs. They are also the most wily of them, often being the ones who deal with the human worlds that refuse the imperium, 1st before the gilded demons bring the sword. Their armor contains  blue gauntlets, the rest is the same.

 

6TH CHOIR -  Kindness is the virtue that best fits the 6th choir, with their actions and words. They don't speak ill of anyone(to an extent) and often go out of their way to aide those who need it, from the guardsmen a galaxy over fighting xenos, to administrative work on terra itself. Their helmet is white, with a green laurel on it.

 

7TH CHOIR -  The final virtue upon which this choir adheres to is humility, arrogance and such are discouraged and eliminated. Pride is there, but not to the point it becomes unbearable, the marines of this choir are humble men, who don't shout their names and titles at their enemy, but showing all even the filthy xeno respect in combat. Their helmets contain the words " i am but one".

 

AFTER -

 

It's here that the 3rd choir was utterly wiped out, and is now known as the"lost choir", and the hatred of the traitors has set in at full.

HIERARCHY 

 

The iron serpents are broken down into 4 important components. Each one having an important function.

 

 

SAND WINDERS - These marines all utilize the desert to their advantage, often rising from the ground and slaying their target before vanishing back inside. they keep a darker version of their legion colors, it's great for camouflage and stealth warfare. They are also the auxiliary for the rest of the legion.

 

JUNGLE FANG - These marines fight mostly in jungle areas and forests. Their armor matches that of these terrains as to better attack the enemies of man. They serve as the first to battle as well, armor changing to fit the situation. They are "fangs" for this reason.

 

TUNDRA KNIGHTS - These marines as their name implies, work mostly in the tundra and antarctic worlds. These serve as the shield of the legion, and can be called upon to face the powerful beasts of the horrid worlds. They as their kin, paint their armor to blend in with the environment.

 

DEATH ADDER - the warriors in this major grouping are perfect for 2 places. a death world, and a dead one. Their skin and armor shift to match the  landscape around them. They are the only members of their legion to wear heavy armored face plates.

 

AFTER REBELLION

 

The legion arms were broken down into chapters, each taking some part of the original formation with them. They hunt the chaos forces where they can, specifically targeting the spectral warlords.

The hellguard legion takes a bit of their structure from Japanese/Chinese culture, and mix it with various animals of the zodiac.

 

TIGER GENERALS -  Like in china there are 5 of these warriors, each watching over a specific part of the legion, taking on different ideas as they council their primarch.

 

BLACK ONI - The highest position one of the lower tank and file marines of the legion can earn, the personal guard of Asura himself. Their armor is the blacked version of the regular legion colors, and their masks crafted with black iron.

 

SCARLET KITSUNE - The main commanders of the regular legionary forces, their  armor predominantly scarlet around the shoulder pads. They typically serve as leaders and scouts in various ocassions, moving like the fabled foxes for which they are named.

 

ONI SAMURAI - These are the "backbone" of the legion, and are the most seen of the hellguards.

 

 

AFTER REBELLION 

 

The structure is similar though now only the black oni members still follow Asura without question, the others have broken into following 1 of the five tiger generals.

Hierarchy

 

Before rebellion

 

 

The legion follows a logical, and practical structure. They base different situations on logic alone.

 

LICH KINGS - These are the 3 consultants of Charon, they help him with planning and logical advisement. They also have their own followers from the ranks below them. They also serve as the personal guards of the primarch.

 

WRIGHTS - They are the masters of sorcery among the legion, and are responsible to what would later be known as the "death-guard". They work to ensure their mission's success at any cost, and have been known to be the coldest of the icy hearted legion. They serve also as apothecaries on occasion.

 

NAZGUL - in their language it means "soul collector" they are the assault warriors of the legion, moving in and out of the combat zone as necessary. There is a strict trial to join the ranks of these beasts. Those who fail die, while those who pass become the nazgul.

 

CRYPT KEEPERS - these are the scouts of the legion, and  provide intel, support, and the "official" main force of the legion.

 

HUSKS - these are the "neophytes" of the legion, they go through trial after trial which tests their logical, skills, and practicality in various situations. It is based on these tests that determine where in the structure they are sent.

 

AFTER REBELLION -

 

The structure as i've seen, remains the same, but it seems there was a hidden group within the structure that seems the most revered, and the most despised. I will write down here for fellow inquisitors to aide them in identifying these things.

 

DEATH GUARD - these things are the result of the necromantic sorcery the reapers utilized, it seems they existed since the legion was put under charon's command. They feel no pain, are incredibly resistant to some types of weaponry, and come in various states. They also retain all their astartes abilities and knowledge. This makes them more dangerous then the other servants of nurgle. According to  my sources, they were suppose to have been slain on the emperor's orders. Morpheus saved these things and taught charon how to hide them. Whats worse, they are the true back bone of the legion, and can use the corpses of other legionaries to bolster their ranks.

NURGLE

 

 GRIM REAPER LEGIONS' GREATEST WARRIOR - anumas

 

Anumas was born on the grim reapers homeworld of carrion.He was one of the first to fall to chaos, and was rewarded for corrupting the rest of the legion through reason and logic, not trickery or violence.This made him the favored of nurgle, he was changed from the others, and became the embodiment of death.He also goes by cataclysm due to his ability to decay all he touches, except for his weapons, armor, and mount. his mount is a terrible creature born from anumas's own blackened blood, and takes the form of a three headed dragon.His sword " corruption" is what he channels his power through when in battle.It works three ways.Devour, decay, dissolve are the 3 abilities of this sword.His eyes are poison green, and his skin is like marble with black hair.He is immortal like kratos unless killed in the warp with a weapon of life, these can only be made once and by really powerful beings like helios and morpheus. The sword was made by morpheus himself and filled with nurgle's dark corruption.He currently travels the warp and spreads a plague or two for his primarch. His greatest foe is kwylo, as they hate each other more than the gods themselves. Kwylo wields the closest weapon of life, and is believed to know the locations of the rest.

 

 

 

 

KHORNE 

 

THE RED BUTCHER - KRATOS

 

He is the most blood-thirsty of the direwolf legion, raised since birth to kill, he was found by the primarch and taken under his wing. He soon joined the legion and became it's most brutal of killers. he believed in "kill or be killed" which the primarch approved of so much, he made it the code for krato's squad. When the heresy hit, kratos as always fought alongside his primarch, to in his mind "face the ultimate foe". He kept killing and killing, never pausing, never resting, just being an engine of death. Khorne saw this and was pleased, and granted him his favor.

 

 

SLAANESH

 

 

THE KNIGHT OF DEBAUCHERY - NACARISS

 

He is a champion of the dark-burners legion turned sons of shadius. He during his time as a regular servant of slannesh, has corrupted six planets to slaanesh in the pleasure god's embodiment. The constant sacrificing and rituals, caused slaanesh to gift him with a " desirable" reward. This turned him into daemon prince after the howls of his death at kratos' s hand. She( cause by this point, "he" no longer fits) has conquered a million worlds in her god's dark name.  

 

 

TZEENTCH

 

 

THE TWISTING LORD - ARCHON

 

He is the fist of neptune, and became the 1st captain in the legion. He mastered the knowledge looted by him from his raids, along with some advice. He was the first of his legion to yell the shout for morpheus, and many myths, rumors, and legends sprung up about him. There's one that states him sculpting the mind of a captain of the "scions of the falcon" to turn his blade on the innocent people he was protecting., and even one of him enslaving tzeentchian demons to his flesh for bragging rights and power. Whatever the truth, he is highly favored for his service to tzeentch, he may eventually ascend like his liege.

 

 

 

UNDIVIDED

 

 

WARMASTER OF CHAOS - Drogan "The BLACK DRAGON"

 

This marine was originally from the "gilded demon" legion, and was following his primarch during the heresy all the way to the palace. He loved his gene-sire like all his brothers, but felt he was too "soft" for the job. He believed that morpheus should have made sure helios and the wolf lord were dead. He thought everything up to the point his gene-sire was betrayed by the other "princes". It was at this point he concluded that morpheus was weak, for if he had broken the wills of the other primarchs, they would have rushed to aide him. This later had him challenging kwylo and the others, with a following of his own. His group would be defeated but he fled, and felt the instincts his father and brothers denied themselves. He drank it in, and changed. He began gathering a warband and uniting the broken factions of chaos under the title he was given by the brothers he slain."the black dragon".

RAVEN MASTER - NUJU Ironside

 

One of the soul raven "mystics" who felt the power of the raven lord, more then the others. He felt it to the point that his fellow claim he would often be "possessed" by their primarch, this was given some wait when remus' ravens perched upon nuju's shoulders. He became faster, stronger, and more connected with spirits due to this. He fought the traitor warriors of various warbands, particularly those from the sirens, and the lunar fang. He later died during a black crusade, by calling on his father to possess him and save his brothers' homeworld. This resulted in him taking on the form of a large raven and flying right into the heart of the enemy war-machine. Thus he died and his soul joined the raven lord, leaving behind his mystic rune blade where his body once resided.

 

 

 angel EXTERMINATUS - ?

 

None of the archangel legion is certain where he came from, some say he's a large "shard" of their gene-sire's soul, others believe he's a member of the "lost choir". Whatever the truth, this figure has been seen only at the most grave of battles. The mystery figure has been captured on recording helmets by various members of the legion. The warrior is armored in pure gold-silver with the style of the the lost choir, but no other markings.

 

 

RED STINGER - LEO

 

He hails from the "sands of blood" chapter space marines, he was the 1st chapter master of the chapter and instilled in them the ideals of the great crusade long past. He wears desert brown and blood red terminator armor, wields a relic chainsword, and is a delta level psyker.He has led the chapter for over 300 years, bringing victory to the imperium from the xenos and occasionally chaos forces. He died aboard a traitor ship "axe of heresy",detonating the warp drive within. His last words were "nam mihi iam non sabulum est red" meaning for me the sand is no longer red.

CHAMPIONS OF THE EMPIRE OF THE DRAGON (major players)

DANTE 1ST TALON - the bio is the same as i wrote on him, but like how kwylo came to be. he went through a "blood rite" ritual with his 4 talon brothers.(kwylo dont count cause he was born from the rite.) he was submerged in the empowered blood of morpheus, for 4 days, and when he came out, he looked like morpheus but with orange eyes. He is considered the most ruthless of the army of the dragon, and personally stands guard over morpheus on the throne.He has the personal achievement of slaying the imperial knight's primarch, and brought his trophy to morpheus.

 

GRIMLOCK 2ND TALON - he was wasn't a terran marine, but born on the planet morpheus would test his legion on. after he dealt with the eldar. Morpheus was impressed with the young 11 yr old(at the time) and inducted him into the legion. He quickly rose through the ranks, with his plans and determination. Eventually he was invited to become a talon. He went through the rite, and emerged like those who took the rite, he came out as a morpheus with glowing  blue eyes. He would go on to fight for many centuries, before dying in the "burning of furon"

 

SALAZAR  3RD TALON - he was a native of furon and was morpheus' uncle. when morpheus took over after avenging his adoptive father, and the emperor came. salazar was enhanced (like luther in the original story) along with others that were too old. He took this change with vision, and never faltered in his duty. He also dealt with any who thought he wasn't a "true" marine. Morpheus eventually dealt with this mess, and invited any who thought otherwise to challenge salazar in a duel. needless to say, many learned that he was a man to be respected even being only enhanced. He was also invited to join the talon and take the blood rite. A few of his comrades who knew what the ritual entailed, were worried about if he could. salazar assured them that he would be strong. After the ritual, he came old looking like a grey eyed, morpheus with white hair. There was a side-effect of this change, his eyes were blind, but he got around this, by using his "mystic eye" allowing him to "see" better then even most astartes. He stills currently, guarding the "old ways" and instructing  the current talons.

 

 

VULGRIM 4TH TALON - He was an unknown originally, but was his rise among the ranks made public, morpheus asked him to join him for a talk. it was unknown what they spoke about, but what is known is that he became a talon. He took the rite, and when he arose from it, he became a clone of morpheus with glowing violet eyes. He was rarely seen away from the medical bays on the battlefield, but he was still to be feared when he did engage in war. He was wounded greatly after the rebellion, and was fitted with parts of a servitor. (think fabius bile, but better looking) he still lives to this day, schooloing future apotecaries.

 

KWYLO 5TH TALON - Born from morpheus with the use of blood magic, kwylo is in short a near perfect clone of morpheus. He learned at the side of his father, and knows him better then any others of the legion. Some say that should morpheus have died, he would be reborn through kwylo due to their connection. He carries a great blade 1 handed, with his father's wings, and is often mistaken for him at times. This has been used to his and the legion's advantage during their "blood crusade" on the legions that abandoned them. He stands as equal if not greater to his fellow talons, and together they'll pave the way for their father to be free from the throne.

 

LANCELOT - His history is a mystery, with the only knowledge on him being he was chosen to lead the sons of malice after solidus fell.

LEGION ORGANIZATION - HEAVENGUARD

Hierarchy before rebellion -

 

There were six "hosts" associated with the heavenguard legion, they were also called by various titles throughout the rebellion and the years following. The 6 hosts represents the 6 wings connected to the sword and shield. Each symbolically guarding a "gate" to heaven.

 

Wingless - these are the novices for the hosts, each after a period of 30 years can choose to join 1 of the hosts, and train to be a member. Thousands start here and spread upward, with a few choosing to stay and instruct the next batch. They gain the title of " wing-men"

 

SCARLET CRUSADERS - they are the 1st host of the heavenguard. practicing the "purity of flame" aspect of the guard. They were truly inspired after witnessing one of the fire angel's "phoenix festivals" . They carry wrist mounted flamers, to use in burning all "corruption" in the Imperium. They're distinguished from the others, by the red tear on the forehead of their helmet and face.

 

SOLARIS WARDENS - This host follows the"solar doctrine" granted to them by their gene-sire. Their armor is like the ancient masters of the forge in medieval times, with carefully crafted tools and weapons.It is from these that the legion gets their armor cleansed. They are ritually sent to the mechanicum for training for the last century of their training. They bear the golden sun on their forehead.

 

SILVER HAND - this is where most of the psyker elements of the legion end up, often deployed across the other hosts, with only 2 exceptions. The armor for them is the standard colors save their gauntlets, which a bathed in pure silver.

 

GOLDEN HEART - This host was the first to meet their primarch and was the most affected by him. They almost religiously model themselves after their father's idea of "the ultimate state of mankind" casting aside their worldly desires, and following his teachings of what humans could be. They have a heart pinion( a golden gem) placed in the center of their armor over their right heart. 

 

WHITE LANCES - This host consists of those trained strictly in the art of melee/assault combat, training everything they could for this type of fighting. They each carry a white lance into battle, with the higher up of the hosts allowed to add decor to their lances.

 

BRIGADIERS - This host is the one to go to for dealing with the effects of infiltrators, they give no mercy or quarter to the enemy. They actually stand directly under the 2 main warriors who fight alongside Excanton. They carry guns and more guns, using handto hand combat whenever they must fight with melee.

MALTHAZAR - He is the " arch sorcerer" of the legion, being the most powerful, trained, and skilled among the psykers of the legion. He watches over his brother psykers and along with his counterpart, council the primarch on various matters during the crusade. He was one of the first slain in battle by khornates, the daemons sensing his witchery and power.

 

VANDER - He was the "master of blades", he was like the arch sorcerer, but for the non psykers. He bore a power sword, and storm shield against all who threaten his liege and the imperium. He was interned into a dreadnought during the siege of Terra.

 

 

AFTER REBELLION -

 

The legion split up after the rebellion, splintering into various smaller "hosts" and spreading the teachings their father left them to all mankind.

The others may be a bit different, as i have them not in set parts, but just jacks of all trades save a few, those have their own styles. These i'll place a [*] around them to separate them from the others.This is due to the way i pictured them, and the fact that i want to move forward with my plans. I'll come back and touch up any i have the time to update.

The golden eagle legion is just like the direwolves save they didn't slaughter eachother at the will of a bloodthirsty deity. The white falcon are simply as their legion mix would suggest. Iron fangs are self explanatory. The others will come as i stated. but i'll be moving to the next part of what i wanted.

SACKING OF NEVERMORE (rebellion era)

After the failed rebellion, the traitor legions began fleeing en mass. Among them, the lunar fangs would detour toward their lord's homeworld. Neptune knew well that his home planet would side with the imperium now that that it seems they would "came out on top" and plans to show them the folly of that mistake. He commanded his sons to set a course to their homeworld, this of course had some dissent.

 

"my liege we're being chased by the loyalists, why would we return to the homeworld when that's where they'd expect us to go?" nemeroth spoke concerned. Another marine also spoke out," we should be fleeing to the "black maw" we'd be safe from the imperials there."

 

Marines began arguing with each other back and forth, until the "demon of the moon" stood up and spoke his piece.

 

"we're not going to try and hold the world, we're going to loot it before the grubby imperial dogs can." he said, and continued when everyone was silent. "we are the lunar fangs, we plunder and pillage not caring who. they would wipe that away. leaving the worthless to inherit our world. i say no, if it burns, we'll do the burning. now go."

 

At the end of his words, every lunar fang ship made for the planet "NEVERMORE".

Nevermore was a planet of mostly water with a few and far in-between islands, here society always revolved around the great ocean. It was on this world that neptune would land and eventually conquer, though now it' strange beauty shall soon be shattered. The ships of the lunar fang began orbiting around the planet where neptune had some ships land all around the planet. True to neptune's predictions the people of nevermore decided to swing their support to the loyalist, however they now would pay the price. He gave a wordless command and soon lunar fang legionnaires began capturing every living person on the planet, and looting everything that wasn't nailed down(and even took some that were) everything of value was taken.The marine beat all who resisted, and worked their way to the ones who were orchestrating the deal with the imperials and brought them before neptune. 

 

Neptune spoke first."so the 6 pirate lords of the old order still live? thought i wiped you all out." The 6 men and women who were knelt before him just cursed his name and birth, including the blood relative of his adopted father, a girl of only 10 years. Neptune looked upon her, and saw the fire that his adopted father saw in him.

 

"kill all of hem save the girl. she may prove a fierce addition to the mortal warriors." he said, ignoring the screams and pleas for mercy as the lunar fang open fire. The girl was taken aboard, and the lunar fang rose from the planet loaded with everything they could take. They then fired rockets into the planet and detonating them, destabilizing the planet's core and causing it to explode as they flee. The imperials upon arriving see only the broken fragments of a former world.

REBELLION REVISED PT 1 - SPACE 

 

 

The rebel forces arrived in the segmentum solar, and morpheus had ordered grimlock to engage terra quickly, after he had convinced the fireangels to attack mars, lowering their numbers. The rebel fleet opened fire upon the ships defending the planet, while giving the signal for those who stand with them to act. The space above terra is ignited with battles and fire, and the first part of the assault on terra begins.

 

 Grim-lock was piloting his prized ship "sea of misfortune" and engaged the loyalists as his primarch asked of him. He like others of his legion didn't follow morpheus because he was their father, they followed him because he was in the right. He took his orders from morpheus without complaint, ready to show the loyalists that they threw their lot with the wrong man.

 

(SPACE)

 

"SEND THEM BACK TO THE BRINK!" yelled grim-lock as he fired the main cannons aboard his ship. The loyalists ships attacking him are under the command of a mortal human admiral by the name of Henry ford, he wad promoted to that rank just a few days before the rebellion. His ship the " imperial sigil" was made by the techpriests on mars before their "treachery" and the calling of the fire-angels upon mars. The captain stood with hundreds of warships from most of the imperial army, and the loyal legions. Henry stared over the battle and commanded the ships to advance on the sea of misfortune, he believed that since the rebel ships were fewer then they, he could bring them down with shear numbers. This tactic would prove to be his undoing, for as they approached the rebels,, they were attacked by the dark fleet of ships from the lunar fang legion. With these reinforcements, grim-lock regained ground, and sent the "imperial sigil" into a fiery death. " NOW IS THE TIME! LORD MORPHEUS, WE CAN NOW DEPLOY!" howled grim-lock to his primarch. Morpheus looked down to Terra, and nodded. " descend from the abyss" he said, and the drop pods  rained from the sky, unleashing hordes of traitor marines and spilling horrible warmachines on the battlefield. Daemons rained from the skies, and the ground would be stained in blood. 

 

 

 

REBELLION REVISED PT 2 - ADVANCE! 

 

(Terra)

 

The loyalist defenders stood all gathered around the palace and the three gates, that bring entry. The "lion gate" to the north, the "eagle gate in the east" and the "eternity gate" to the west. Helios stood with the emperor alongside fenris, behind them stood the custodes. The emperor was giving a speech to the defenders, while helios stood back. He looked around and saw atlas heading towards him, when atlas reached him, he spoke." a strange turn of events isn't it? i never dared dream such a thing would happen." atlas said looking at helios. Helios replied "this is a dark day in the imperium's history, half my brothers have spat on their oaths to the emperor, and now we stand against them" Atlas nodded, but noticed helios' guilty expression." whats wrong helios? why do you have the look of guilt on your face?" atlas asked concerned, helios looked at him and said " i failed him atlas, he was falling into darkness and he reached out for me to save him, and i let him fall." tears left helios' eyes as he spoke, feeling that he was responsible for all this. Atlas placed a hand on his shoulder and said." morpheus made his own choice to betray the emperor, you didn't make him, turn our brothers against us. he made that choice and he'll pay for it." helios nods, and was about to speak when they heard the shout of " MORTARS!" at that moment, the palace was assaulted by mortars from the traitor marines, the result was the knocking out of their auto-cannons. When the mortars stopped coming, the defenders looked to the figures coming from the sea of traitors. The first figure was shadius the "bright star", next was Templas, who turned and knelt, but it was the last figure that drew their attention, Morpheus the "deceiver". He looked over at the palace and it's defenders, then spoke." defenders of the palace, you have fought bravely so far, but think about this. This "emperor" has not done anything to earn your sacrificing your lives, he doesn't understand human love and family. he knows you as warriors yes, and loves you as a commander loves his troops, but your more then that. we only want him, surrender and you will not be harmed, nor will your families. please, don't die for this man, who would order the death of his own sons, just because they didn't agree with him." Silence reigned after that, many seemed to consider his words, until a regular guardsmen opened fire upon morpheus. The bullets bounced off his armor, and he looked at the man, and the man burned inside his own gear, then faded away as ash. The other defenders upon seeing that, renewed their oaths to the emperor, and opened fire upon the traitors. Morpheus just sighed, and ordered the traitors to attack. Thus began the siege of the imperial palace.

 

 

MORPIO REBELLION REVISED PT 3 - THE SIEGE

(Terra, the lion gates)

 

 

When the signal was given, the rebels attacked the palace walls and gates from all sides. The first attack was on the lion gate, which was headed by the 3rd talon salazar. He along with many traitor marines and daemons of nurgle, attacked the lion gate with all they had." PUT YOUR BACKS INTO IT!" salazar howled as they marched on the lion gate, chainsword raised. The men under his command where attacking in droves, while occasionally, having aide from the ships under grim-lock's command, fire on heavy bolter and plasma cannon mounts on the tops of the wall. Salazar called upon his psykic might and fired a large ball of warp-fire at the gate, putting a large dent into the gilded doors. He immediately, ordered those under his command to focus on the dent, eventually breaking it down. " FOR THE POWERS OF CHAOS!" salazar yelled as he lead the charge into the destroyed gate. This caused some loyalists to break off and defend that area.

 

(EAGLE GATE)

 

This gate was being used by the council of terra to flee the planet, they would be impeded however by those who served the prince of excess, kept under control by vulgrim. He sent the daemons in first, to soften the "loyalists" up, and then sent in the marines, to surround the area, shooting down each ship that tried to escape. He marched through the streets of Terra, slaying all that would stand against them. He did not slay the children, or those who didn't strike at them. Vulgrim noticed that those who were under his command, were moving too slow. He turned to see what the hold up was, and was filled with fury. The servants of slannesh were torturing the captives and those who did not fight, he pulled his sword out and demanded they cease their actions. They laughed at him, but before they could continue, he leaped upon them and began killing those who did not heed his orders. He used his psykic powers, to destroy the nerves of the followers of the pleasure god, much to the horror of those who reveled in their god's favor. After getting order back in place, they took the eagle gate, and then he allowed them to have their senses back when torturing the terran council. This was brought to the attention of morpheus who applauded him.

 

 

(ETERNITY GATE)

 

Morpheus stood in the back, watching his plan unfold. His sons were doing their tasks well, and have taken the exact spots they needed to win this war. He looked at the wall as it was being brought down, he caught a glimpse of helios and remus looking down at him."what are they talking about?" he thought to himself, but shook his head of those thoughts and continued the plan. Helios watched this and turned to remus," are you certain brother?" he said, "he could just be the second in command." Remus shook his head and replied " i'm sorry helios but it obviously morpheus whose in charge of this rebellion. He must be our main focus." Helios nodded sadly and began to prepare for when the wall would fall. The grim reapers took great joy in breaking down the fire angels' greatest of works. It seems that now, the true path will commence. The battle for terra has truly begone. 

 

 

REBELLION REVISED - legionary battles  pt 1

 

 

(Dante, Kratos and the direwolves along with some traitor guardsmen)

 

Dante upon the falling of the wall, ran forward into the mass of the loyalist forces. His axe thirsting for the lives of those who would defy his primarch's offer, just to die for a fool. He was not alone in his charge, the direwolves along with some guardsmen. Ares was following morpheus and shadius into battle, so the leader of these parts of the direwolves fell under krato's orders. The loyalist forces here were made of iron fangs, and golden eagles. Dante ran right into them as they were firing shouting "BLOOD DRINK THEIR BLOOD!" The direwolves joined his shout, and began ripping through the loyalists. The eagles matched their beserk fury with their own, the iron fangs behind them, firing on the groups. Blood and fire and sword and bones, all were found in that battle. Dante's fury became so great, his psykic might exploded and covered his halberd in blood like fire, the direwolves believed this was a blessing of khorne, and followed dante like pack animals. The loyalists eventually had to retreat, from dante's onslaught. He fought so hard, that he broke his halberd on the skull of a eagle captain. After this, he picked up a fallen marine's chainaxe and a bolt pistol and continued slaying.

 

 

 

 

(Kwylo , Nox, william, and mix groupings of the traitor legions)

 

Kwylo moved ahead of his father, followed by william "the blessed" and nox of the grim reapers. They were to take out the main resistance from the inner areas of the palace. They would be met as they moved by the other "talons of morpheus" and the groups with them, they were being attacked by the legionaries of the blue titans, the soul ravens, and the heavenguard. Two primarchs of those legions stood among them, Atlas, and Excanton. "you shall not pass these doors traitors!" said excanton as he charged at the traitor ranks, the others behind him." TEAR THEM APAART!" kwylo bellowed as he and the traitors met the loyalist in their charge. The sides clashed in tide of blood and carnage. Vulgrim managed to send the goldenheart into another area, and dante held off atlas. This left the remaining loyalists forces to kwylo and salazar." talon brother kwylo, father will need you at his side, i'll handle this filth" salazar spoke as he stepped in front of kwylo. Kwylo stared at him for a moment, then nodded and continued on with some of the rebels following his lead. This left salazar and the others to face the loyalist forces in the area.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kwylo and the rebel forces that managed to follow him, kept running through the palace, trying to reach his primarch, as they battled through, when they encountered none other then helios himself, and most of the archangels." halt in the emperor's name" spoke helios as he pointed his blade at them. Kwylo stepped forward, his halberd raised, it seems morpheus would have to wait for him a little longer. The forces running between the two, would look at kwylo and helios and almost "feel" that it was their primarch morpheus there instead.

 

 

REBELLION REVISED - legendary battles pt 2 

 

(DANTE VS ATLAS)

 

Dante had seen kwylo keep moving, though he hesitated." he shouldn't have hesitated, now to deal with him!" dante thought as he faced down the blue titan's primarch, atlas. They stood their ground waiting for the other to make a move. It would be atlas who breaks the silence," why did morpheus and the others betray the emperor? why cause all this death! all this CHAOS!?" he yelled, each word carrying sorrow and hate. Dante looked him in the eye and replied" for those your emperor betrayed and abandoned" and with that he charged atlas, howling at the top of his lungs. Atlas quickly blocked dante's strike, and retaliated with a fist. Dante having the strength of a primarch(thanks to the blood rite) grabbed the fist and began lifting atlas off the ground, it was slow cause atlas actually was a primarch and bigger and a bit tougher then the others. Atlas kicked dante and knocked him back, allowing atlas enough time to throw another punch. Dante threw his looted axe at atlas, only for the blade to be broken by the gauntlets forged by morpheus long ago. Now weapon less, dante relied on psykic might to keep atlas back. Atlas was only slowed down by the power, but he was still coming, and ares had no weapon with him, when he spotted the spear of a dead custodes, he quickly picked it up and attacked with it. His psykic might becoming erratic with his rage, he ran forward, hacking and slashing at atlas with wild fury. Atlas eventually began to struggle with the blows, taking a few hits here and there. Dante was glowing with hatred, dragging all his fury to himself, and condensing it. Atlas moved in for one more punch when dante released it, "khorne's roar" as it would come to be called, was born and it send atlas through a window and out to the battlements. Dante's howl was so loud and filled with fury, that the forces who dedicated themselves to khorne joined in the howling, and were emboldened to cause greater slaughter. Some say that was when khorne looked down upon dante and "blessed" him. He began to change, growing 2 large horns upon his head, his teeth became razor sharp, his hands became claws, and a large tail burst from him. He was ascending to daemon prince status, to keep the ascension going, dante leaped into fray below and began tearing apart loyalist marines by the bushels.

 

 

( EXCANTON VS VULGRIM)

 

Vulgrim was fighting excanton at the same time as the battle between atlas and dante, unlike dante he was more of a medic then a warrior. Excanton didn't bother talking and struck with his powersword, causing vulgrim to dodge where he can, and to fight back, with only his chainsword and plasma pistol. Vulgrim struck where he could, firing from a distance and striking up close. The battle was not in vulgrim's favor even when he had the strength of a primarch, excanton kept spouting about the emperor and the "heaven" he was going to build, vulgrim finally had enough and shot the goldenheart in the face. Excanton reared back, and then yelled in fury as he swung rapidly. Vulgrim fought back as best he could, but he was too slow and paid for it when excanton tore vulgrim's back with the power-sword. Vulgrim screamed in pain, causing some of his brothers to come to his aide, but they were cut down. Vulgrim pulled out the drugs he used to nullify pain, and injected them all into himself, he was in too much pain to realize what he head done. He managed to get up after that and used his psykic power to force his flesh to knit itself back together, this use of drugs and sorcery caused him to undergo a change in movements. He charged the golden-heart and struck with all his might again and again, till his weapons broke, and he started to use his fists. It still wasn't enough, excanton knocked him aside, but before he could end vulgrim's life, keeper of secrets broke into the palace and began attacking his sons. He left believing vulgrim dead, to challenge this creature. After he left, vulgrim managed to crawl out of the rubble, and his brothers pulled him from the battlefield.

 

 

( KWYLO VS HELIOS)

 

Kwylo felt the suffering of his brothers, and clenched his halberd tightly."step out of the way helios, i will not repeat myself" kwylo said with a bit of anger. Helios simply shook his head, and his sons charged kwylo and the rebels with him. The rebels were gonna charge, but kwylo held them at bay, and then unleashing his full psykic power, bathed the loyalist troops in warp flame and lightening. The sight of this halted some of the archangels, and that proved to be their mistake when kwylo leaped through the fire and killed them, the rebels following him as he charged, Helios charging as well rallying the remaining loyalists with shouts." DON'T LET THEM REACH THE EMPEROR!"  he cried over and over. Kwylo summoned daemons of khorne and tzeentch right ontop of the loyalist forces, then hit helios with lightening. Helios blocked it with his blade, and was slowly advancing towards kwylo. The battle continued for what felt like an eternity, until a great pressence was felt, and the daemons were sent howling back into the warp. Kwylo realizing what this could mean, brings the ceiling crashing down on helios, and ushering his brothers and the other rebels forward into the throne room.

 

 

REBELLION REVISED PT 4 - THE CLASH OF GODS 

 

 

(INSIDE THE THRONE ROOM)

 

The emperor was just stepping from his throne, after linking a part of his soul to the astronomican. He looked around in-front of him, two primarchs borus, and remus. To the left and right stood the custodes, and malcador." this madness must end. to much has been lost." borus said to break the silence. Remus agreed with borus on this, the emperor was about to speak when the door busted open. All turned to see the 3 "leaders" of the rebellion, shadius "the bright star", neptune " the kraken", and finally in the back stood the most hated. Morpheus looked around the room, and spoke." i won't waste any of our time, trying to convince you to stand down. shadius now is your "big moment"." he nods to shadius who grins, and runs forward. Borus and remus attempt to stop him, but were met with lashes from his demonically enhanced whip. It sent borus crashing into a pillar, and remus behind the golden throne. The emperor meerly grabbed the whip and pulled shadius towards him, then he kicked shadius in the chest. Shadius fell to the ground, with a pained expression, it looked like he was mentally fighting something. The emperor reached down to attempt to help his favored son. It was a trap, shadius pierced the emperor's chest with a hidden dagger he kept on his person. Shadius laughed and kicked the emperor off him, he then began wailing on the emperor, till malcador sent him back with the sigil he carries. Borus managed to get to his feet, when he saw what transpired. In his anger, he threw a part of the pillar on shadius' body, pinning him. This was not going according to morpheus' plans at all, he could take comfort in the fact that the emperor will die. He picks shadius, just as kwylo busts through the doors himself. Morpheus looks at him and plan is understood, kwylo fired lightening at the roof, bringing it down as the rebels make their escape. The message was relayed to the other talons, and all the rebel forces. 

 

 

MORPIO REBELLION: RISE OF THE DEVIL, FALL OF THE ANGEL

 

Morpheus took up his blade after helios was unconscious, and launched himself at the emperor. The two rolled across the ship's floor, punching and kicking till the emperor kicked Morpheus off. They readied their swords to strike, when the emperor spoke.

 

Emperor: Morpheus you have to stop this, my son you must -( he said only to be cut off by Morpheus)

 

Morpheus: why should I? you betrayed solidus, threatened to murder my sons, you had a secret legion designed to slaughter us, you even betrayed our precursors the thunder warriors. You will fall this day and I will deliver the blow.

 

 

With that he charged at the emperor, howling with fury as their blades locked. The emperor was skilled, but Morpheus constantly practiced across the battlefield. They crossed blades again and again, millennia of pent up rage released by Morpheus in each blow.

 

Morpheus: you are unworthy of my loyalty for the things you've done.

 

Emperor: you have truly fallen, you are a primarch, yet you act like a child. I see helios was the better part of you.

 

Morpheus( enraged) : I'LL SLUAGHTER YOU!

 

Morpheus attacked with more ferocity than ever before, making it difficult for the emperor to parry the blows. His sword was eventually knocked out of his hand, and he had a scar over his heart. Morpheus was about to deliver the finishing blow when his sword was blocked by another blade, he look towards the wielder only to see that it was helios.

 

Helios was bleeding from 5 wounds on his body, but held on against Morpheus, he looked towards fenris and said.

 

Helios: fenris grab father and get out of here.( he looked back to Morpheus)

 

Fenris: but helios -

 

Helios: GO!

 

Fenris picked up the emperor, who was protesting and left through teleportation.

 

Morpheus: you should have left with them.

 

Helios: I will not abandon you, not again.

 

( WITH FENRIS AND THE EMPEROR)

 

Fenris appeared with the emperor in his arms aboard the medical station for the loyalist, the emperor was immediately tended to, while fenris attempted to return for helios only to be blocked by the returned shields.

 

 

(BACK WITH MORPHEUS AND HELIOS)

 

Morpheus: there is no bond between us anymore helios, you saw to that.

 

 

Helios: i will stop you Morpheus, i am guilty as well as a few others but the rest are innocent and will fight to defend them.

 

Morpheus: then you will fall

 

The two clashed blades again.

 

They kept striking though helios was getting weaker, he kept trying to convince Morpheus to stop and return to the light. As their battle came to a close, Morpheus shattered "SIGMAR" and plunged "ALDUIN" into Helios's chest and out his back.

 

Morpheus: i warned you, you should have listened.

 

Helios wrapped his arms around Morpheus in a hug and spoke for the last time.

 

Helios(dying): I'm sorry Morpheus, sorry for all i''ve done. I just wish we could have walked the path to heaven one last time.

 

With that last breath, the angel was no more. Morpheus held onto Helios's body as for the first time in millennia he wept tears and his eyes returned to their original color before returning to red.

 

Morpheus: it's far to late for that, though i am not so cruel as to not return you to your sons.

 

Both loyalist and traitor actually stopped fighting when they saw Morpheus carrying the body of helios up the path .

 

The traitors howled with Morpheus's praises, calling him " daemon emperor" while the loyalist cried out in sorrow and hatred. Morpheus walked the path to heaven till he came up to the "house of angels" and laid helios to rest there. He then ordered a retreat as the steelblades were enraged and unleashed the emperor's wrath upon them. Morpheus left a saying on Helios's tomb before he left. The last thing he said before he departed into the warp was " fate is cruel for he was born an angel and i a devil," and that was the last time any saw him cry tears of gold upon the ground, and look as he did at his birth. They say if you go to the house of angels, look to the ground at the foot of the tomb and you'll see a strange flower, they are called " ever weepers" they say that they are the tears of Morpheus that shed for helios so that Morpheus doesn't.

 

 

REBELLION REVISED PT 5 - THE EXODUS 

 

The signal for retreat had been given, and the rebel forces start to retreat, many different legionaries piling as many ships as they can. They normally would only let those from their legion aboard, but do to the drilling of morpheus' idea of unity, they let any legionary and the mortals who fought with them aboard. The black abyss was still waiting for it's lord, the demon possessed guns tearing apart any loyalists interference. The rebel princes( they renounced the title primarch)  were tearing a path to their ships, taking off when they make it. The exodus gave the loyalist hope, and they pressed their attack.  Every last rebel was fleeing, only the demons, the sons of shadius, and 1 ship under a lunar fang's command. All others were moving. These vessels didn't have to wait long, as morpheus and the others burst out of the palace gates, custodes and loyalists firing at them. They were being pursued by adonis, atlas, borus, and remus. " GET READY FOR TAKE OFF!" shouted morpheus as he and neptune drag shadius' unconscious body with them, backed by the talons, and 30 marines of their legions combined.  The moment they made it on the ship, it began taking off. The loyalist began throwing everything they had at the ship, but the ship was too high. Remus ran faster and activated his jet-pack taking him into the sky, Adonis following him on his sky bike. The cargo doors were just closing when neptune saw his former brothers giving chase, he reached for his modified plasma pistol and took aim." nighty night remmy" he pulled the trigger, the plasma shot through the opening and hit remus right in the center of his chest, frying his two hearts. Remus opened his mouth in a silent scream, and fell, adonis saw this and yelled out remus's name as he dived to catch him. Remus as he fell, heard his animal spirit the ravens. They began surrounding his body in a massive murder, and then vanished, leaving nothing of remus remaining. Helios stopped, and turned to face the traitors, but they had long gone. The loyalists had prevailed but suffered many losses, and almost lost their emperor, were it not for malcadors sacrifice of all his power to heal the emperor. The remaining archangels and the primarchs quickly set out to crushing the remainder of the rebellions across the imperium. They chased the rebels all the way to the eye of terra, where they remained for millenia except for 1 legion. The gilded demons, they stayed on their primarch's homeworld and mustered their strength for the battles to come.

 

 

 

THE 1ST BLACK CRUSADE - REVISED 

ACT 1: THE INVASION

The rebel legions haven't been seen in a thousand year, the imperium having forgotten the devastating war that was fought all the way to terra itself. The emperor having managed to finish his web-way project, has laid the foundation for his next phase in starving the chaos gods. His loyal sons (barring remus, whose body hasn't been found, and helios who refused the change) having broken down their legions according to the codex astartes written by the Dire wolf primarch. The imperial army has been divided into the guardsmen corps, and the imperial navy, thus is the new force of the imperium. The changes that were brought, were considered unnecessary, that the traitor legions had destroyed each-other in the "eye". Hades believed differently, but would hate how right he was. A great storm began gathering across the imperium, and the psykers began crying in agony. Helios's upon sensing the phenomenon, immediately took his legion to terra. The other primarchs, feeling the wrongness of the storm also went back to terra itself.

" MY EMPEROR! THE STORM, ITS-" a custodes yelled as he entered the palace, only for the emperor to silence with a raise of his hand.

" i felt a change in the warp, and your former brothers are returning" the emperor spoke.

The other primarchs arrived, and looked shocked at the news, till they remembered that they united before, and considering they haven't kill any of them, it stands to reason that they could still be brought together. They were discussing what could be done, when they received reports of chaos marines from the traitor legions, attacking the imperium in unheard of masses. The primarchs rushed outside to see what was going on by reading the reports, it seems that the direwolves, the hellguard, and the grimreapers were attacking the imperium. The primarchs rushed to fight off the attack, with their sons. It's just as the loyalist first engage the traitors, that they realize their mistake. The webway of the imperium, opened up, and out came the rest of the traitor legions guns a-blazing. The loyalist forces were caught in a trap, by both sides and fought desperately against the united front of the traitor marines. They eventually got out of the trap, with heavy losses,and retreated to surround terra and mars. So ends act 1. 

 

1ST BLACK CRUSADE -REVISED   

 

ACT 2 : THE SIEGE

 

The imperium was again locked in a great war, this time the traitor marines had brought to bare the full power of their "gods"  and the corrupted machines of the dark mechanicum. The princes strode across the warzones as one united front this time, truly fighting together with morpheus at their head. The primarchs of the loyalist moved forward to meet them, at the head of their sons along with the sons of the raven-lord. Both sides clashed again on mars and terra, staining the ground with blood.

 

" DIE LOYALIST SCUM!" yelled inuyasha, as he struck down loyalist marines, then he proceeded to attack the eagle primarch.

 

" FOR FUJI AND THE EMPEROR!" The goldenheart strikes at asura, trying to gain vengeance for his fallen home-world.

 

" FOR THE RAVENLORD!" screamed the soul ravens and their descending chapters, running into the lines of the lunar fang.

 

 These were just a few of the battles fought on mars and terra. The might of the primarchs and warriors, a sight to behold. The battles on mars, were hectic as the dark mechanicum fought to reclaim mars, from the  fire angels and other forces who stole it from them. They were backed by the hydra and spider legions, while the angels had the power-wolves at their back. On terra, the rest of the legions on both sides were slaughtering each-other, save 2. The archangels and the gilded demons were missing from the battlefield. Morpheus and his sons had instead infiltrated the imperial palace with the intent to face the emperor himself. This plan was derailed by the archangel legion with the high custodian at their head. This time no words were exchanged, and the forces charged.

 

Morpheus struck first, swinging "ALDUIN" side to side, sharp ends turned to the enemy. The custodian retaliated with his power-sword  by slamming it into morpheus's leg. The pain was quickly blocked by his psykic abilities, which he also used to banish his foe into a wall. He began binding ethereal chains to hold him in place, so he could confront the emperor uninterrupted.

 

" you had fought me well, despite everything i don't have time myself to truly harm you. you despite your decisions were a true warrior, till you made said decisions." morpheus after saying his piece, left to go through the titan doors of the throne-room, and confront his father. thus ends act 2.

 

1ST BLACK CRUSADE - REVISED 

 

ACT 3: THE FATHER FACES THE SON

 

 

Morpheus bust down the doors of the golden-throne, alduin in his hands. He gazed into the eyes of the master of mankind, both knew the fate of humanity would be decided this day.

 

 

"morpheus" the emperor said, his burning sword in hand.

 

"valten" spat morpheus, showing his spite, by calling the emperor by his real name, raised alduin for the battle to come.

 

The two look at eachother for a moment more, and then they struck.

 

" you will finally fall, and your failures will expunged from hu-MANITY!" morpheus yelled the last part as he swung alduin.

 

" i admit i have made mistakes, but you made a deal with treacherous beings, and look what they brought you, nothing but RUIN!" THE emperor shouted back as he thrusts with his "star saber" parrying morpheus's halberd, and continuing with a punch to the face.

 

" you're one to talk, you intentionally created the flaw in the thunder warriors, and when they had finished their purpose, you betrayed and locked them away. how are you any different from them!" morpheus said and he kicked the emperor away, and followed up with slamming the back of the  into the emperor's chest.

 

They argued back and forth with words and blows, the palace shuddering under their titanic battle.  Meanwhile, helios was struggling to get free, he could feel the force of the battle in the throne-room, and knew he had to get free. He struggled more and more as the chains were breaking, he knew it was the emperor's doing, and he quickly hurried to aide him.

 

Back in the throne-room, morpheus started using his psykic ability to slam the emperor around the room like a rag down, bearing down on him with all his might, until he had the emperor pinned to the floor, with alduin in hand.

 

 

" this is the end for you emperor, now di- AAAAHHHH!" morpheus yelled the last part when a power-sword came out of his chest, he looked back and saw a custodian was able to get past his sons and  plunge the blade through his back. he then bellowed loud.

 

" you shall fail, betrayer." he shouted as he pulls the sword out with 1 thrust.

 

Morpheus covered the wound with his hand, and moved away before he or the emperor could strike him. He knew he was outmatched wounded as he was, and so he retreated, the custodes in hot pursuit after making certain the emperor was alright. Morpheus ran through the halls, his sons joining up with him, upon seeing his wound. By the time he made it back to the other traitor legions, he fell to the ground from his wounds. He reached out to his brothers who had fought with him for so long.

 

" help me, we need to get out of here" he said, and was puzzled when none of them stepped forward.

 

The other primarchs stared at morpheus and then turned their backs on him, leaving him to his fate. Morpheus disbelief turned into fury, and he cursed them for this, saying that they shall never again be welcomed by any, and that they shall suffer for this. He then turned his attention to they loyalist forces surrounding him and his sons. He stood up, his rage exploding from his body, and gripping alduin tightly as the loyalist opened fire. this ends act 3

ACT 4: THE UNFORESEEN BETRAYAL

 

The loyalist all opened fire upon morpheus and his legion, only thing keeping them from being mulch was morpheus's psykic shield halting the bullets. The gilded demons stood closer to their morpheus, like children to their parent, except these sons would fight to protect their father. The loyalist legions seeing that their weapons were useless, resorted to their melee weapons and charged forth towards the gilded demons. The primarch in the lead of the loyalist warriors was morpheus's once favored brother and twin, helios.

 

"FOR THE EMPEROR, AND TERRA!" shouted helios and the loyalists following him.

 

"PROTECT THE DRAGON EMPEROR! FOR OUR FATHER!" shouted kwylo, which was taken up by the other marines of his legion. They charged as well, and soon the area was bathed in the sounds of battle, as the loyalists and the sons of morpheus fought and died. Morpheus himself just stood there, gone to the world, he would have stayed that way if he hadn't heard the screams of dante, who took a chain-sword to the shoulder. Morpheus snapped out of it, and engaged the loyalists as well, his only desires being protecting his sons, and making those who hurt them pay.

 

" BURN! LOYALIST DOGS! BURN IN CRIMSON FIRE!" morpheus screamed as he bathed his foes in warp fire.

 

His sons emboldened by the display, fight even harder. They kill with gun,sword, and sorcery. They spare no loyalist, even killing the officers who attempted to fall back. Hades enraged, spread his arms and tackled morpheus to the ground, his own might fueling his swings, giving them an ethereal glow. He began punching morpheus with his power fist, only halting to bat kwylo aside when he tried to intervene. Kwylo landed on the ground in a heap and stopped moving. After that time seemed to slow down for morpheus as he saw his sons fighting, DYING! for him.

 

"no..nO...... NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!" morpheus howled as his eyes blazed with power, the howl heard by all and would be the nightmare of many.

 

Morpheus grabbed hade's fist, and broke it. He got off him in pain and surprise, before morpheus was on him. Morpheus using his full power, began batting the primarchs and their marines like flies to wind. He gripped hades by the neck, and slammed him into the ground on his front. He then grabbed his leg, and with a great and terrible roar, TORE! it from him . The scream heard from hades at that moment, left a weakness in the sons of hades. Morpheus  was about to finish him off when he was assaulted by the combined psykic might of the fire angels, heavenguard, and the soul raven librarians. It was at this moment, that a ship bearing the markings of the 9th legion, touched down and fired on the librarians, morpheus though wounded gathered his remaining sons, carrying dante and kwylo himself into the ship as they left through the web-way. They returned to the planet of the sorcerers, where morpheus was dying. Kwylo in a stroke of genius, used the dragon throne to keep morpheus alive, though he couldn't leave the throne for too long. It kept morpheus alive, and due to him working on his far longer then the emperor worked on the golden throne, his body won't atrophy. The psykic backlash morpheus produced warped his sons, causing the talons to ascend to a higher form. It was similar to a daemon prince but they could feel their souls attaching to morpheus, it seems his deal for the full power of the warp and the psykic rage, changed him. The eternal flame that the legion built based off the furonian belief, exploded and surrounded the dragon throne. This caused the marines and all the people of the planet to kneel, believing that in morpheus suffering the blows and the overload, brought him up as a god. This idea spread quickly across the planet, and now morpheus has become the dragon emperor, and his sons have ascended as well thanks to their proximity to him, when the overload occurred. They underwent transformations themselves. It started with dante, his rage and anger at failing to be there for his father, and the cursing of his weak form, turned him onto a centaur-like creature, with his body encased in fire. The others began transforming, and gaining new titles to go with it. After their "ascension" they looked to their father for what to do,  Morpheus looked at them and said, " its time for one of you to take the reins of the legion."

 

"but who father? which of us would it be?" vulgrim, asked of his gene-sire.

 

" all 5 of you shall share the role." morpheus told them.

 

This puzzled them, until morpheus explained further. He made vulgrim the the healing talon, he who ensures the future generations of the legion, salazar was made the talon of knowledge, who would protect their ways from degrading, and ensure all the legion knows their ancestry. For grimlock, he made the watcher of the faith. Its to ensure those who believe him a god, don't get too fanatical. Dante will be the WAR KING, he who fights alongside the legion, like morpheus before him. Finally,, he makes kwylo master of the forge, and keeper of the flame, to stand guard against those who would attempt to end the flames that protect their souls, or to destroy morpheus. This duty can be shared with the others, as morpheus has described, and so it was. Meanwhile on terra, helios was being hooked up to the golden throne, to stop the rampant warp energy from destroying terra. It is he who now powers the astronomican, and stays in constant battle with morpheus, while the emperor deals with the chaos gods. this is the last act of the black crusade, and the begining of the long war.

THE EMPEROR'S ALTERATION

 

The emperor seeing how unreliable his throne is now with the only two besides himself who could power either dead or fighting against him, as redoubled his efforts on the web-way, working around the clock while the "chapters" and imperial guard and navy face off against the enemies of man. He has had time to go over the events and realised his mistakes, though knowing he can't undo them. He is quite thankful he kept the main gate protected with other means than just a psykic shield. He is also aware that morpheus did not kill all the eldar as a few remain inside the webway hidden, his plans are slowly getting back on track as he makes a deal with these xenos in trying to correct some of the problems he caused.

 

"it is simple really, you help power my astronomican, and i keep you protected from my forces and the fury of the sons of morpheus. along with protecting your souls from he who hungers. is it a deal?" the emperor spoke knowing they had no alternative and planned to use them to keep his plan going.

 

the eldar talk amongst themselves knowing their fate and accepting it as better than, being consumed by she who thirsts.

 

"we accept your terms human, we of the hidden shall help you."the leader of the last few eldar farseers spoke doing what she could for her people.

 

The deal struck, the astronomican now watched over and protected by the farseers of the eldar, unknown to the imperium itself. This left the emperor time to recuperate and prepare for the end times should it come.
