A Thunderstrike Formation Question.

It consist of WG, WGTDA and a Droppod. It also states if a reserve roll is made all of them come in the table but Droppod assault automatically Passes reserves and comes round 1. Does this mean the whole formation arrives round 1?

Unless there's a reason to think otherwise, I believe you'll need at least one other droppod to get full use of this formation, as you can't deep strike on turn 1, correct?  So you'll need a pod (or two, which is preferable with the 50% rounded up rule) to come in on the first turn, then this comes on turn 2.  Which is kind of poopy if it's the case, because who wants to wait til T3 to assault, T2 to unload with your combi-pod and combi-TDA star?

It says in the champs of fenris supplement that the thunderstrike formation is all one unit when it comes to rolling reserves an they come in the same time. So id imagine since its a formation that its an exception to ds 1st turn. But only with the formation. I could be wrong but thats how i read an understood it

Okay, I am a bit lost here.  People keep using Fenrisian wolves with ICs and then attaching them to units.  As I understand it (I am new to SW) in the last codex it said they were war gear, so you could do that.  However, in the current codex it just says that as an option you can take them.  This is stated in the same way that I can get aditional blood claws in a unit etc., so I do not see them as counting as war gear, but rather as now making them a unit.  As they are not ICs they can not join another squad.  It even says in the data slate for characters that can take them that the wolves are beasts, which from what I see in the rule book have nothing allowing them to join other groups.  I may be missing something major here.

The Main Difference is the Way you Purchase them. If the they are Part of the HQ they can Join a Unit with the IC and have to leave with the IC unless he dies then they are part of that unit. Buying them from the FA SLot makes them a Seperate Unit.

I don't have my codex with me, but the issue is addressed in the Faction special rules somewhere near the back of the book (7e Space Wolves codex).  From memory it's on the left column, left page.  Hopefully someone with their codex in hand can point out exact page number for you, but essentially it says that ICs with FWs can join other units as an exception to the standard rules.

EDIT:  It's on page 94, and it is repeated as the very first thing in the Reference section at the very back of the codex.

I'm still not convinced that the Cyberwolf typo is on the summary.  Yes, we have to go with the datasheet until a FAQ says otherwise, but are we really paying 10 points each for what is essentially carapace armor?  In the previous codex they had T5 and Sv 4+.  If the new value is not a typo, I'd still like to see the FAQ explicitly correct the summary, to eliminate confusion.

[EDIT: Per the new FAQ issued today, Cyberwolf Toughness is 5 as it should be.  Here's a case of the datasheets not always being right.]

Agreed, FenrisWolf.

I'm frankly amazed that they finally got around to doing the Errata to change the Cyberwolf Toughness.  After 6 months, I figured they weren't going to touch it.  Why wait?  It's not like the document is comprehensive; it doesn't even fill a page.
