Game-wise are you going to run it as a stock servitor with servo arm, or is that gun arm a multimelta/plasmacannon?

i'm thinking plasma cannon servitor to represent the blast, similar to the knight titans blast weapon or maybe even a lowly heavy bolter (i love HB servitor gangs with my inquisitor, they eat my opponents necrons and tau!

I second this, After every Call and ETL I cant stand the sight of Chaos Marines so I scrape together some cash and hit GW for some random unrelated kits and see what =][= goodies I can come up with.

so i recently discovered a warband can only have 3 HB servitors in it. this meant i needed to dedraw my lists and had to make another inquisitor with his own warband. however, since 3 HB are not that much dakka i decided i wanted to have a conversion beamer. wolve, being an ordo herecticus inquisitor however didn't have acces, thus a new inquisitor was made, jupiter, an ordo xenos inquisitor with strong ties to the mechanicum

after a day of painting here's the result!

Just a little update on my Inquisitorial warband. Still having fun at this change of pace.

First up is Inquisitor Pheledor of the Ordo Hereticus:

This guy is charging around in power armour with a very dangerous superiority complex. Believes in his own utter infallibility and that any who question his logic is heretical in extremis, even his superiors. Very likely veering down the path of the radical. Much more information on his current operations heavily redacted.

Next is his personal bodyguard Nine, a death cultist Pheledor "picked up" on a mission to an Imperial backwater many years ago. Origins are unclear but like any DCA Nine is expert with blades:

Um what is a Drow? That is something that has passed me by. And I was trying to go for a syn skin effect. You know the stuff that assassins spray on themselves.

 

The mask on the tech priest is actually one of the heads from the empire battle wizard kit.

 

As I said this is mostly in progress. But I have an intentionally limited palette I am working with. I want to capture the vibe of the artwork. Cheers.

Ah I assume the Drow being referred to is actually my attempt at a Death Cult Assassin? The "black skin" is supposed to represent syn skin, the spray on stuff. Have I not done enough to differentiate from the base model maybe?

Seems like it. She looks like a dark eldar to me. Drow have onyx skin and white hair, like she does, on top of being based on a ninja space elf model... ehe, sorry, I thought it was deliberate.

 

Synskin is basically spray-on latex. Unlike regular latex, which needs to be regularly buffed and shined, the spray stuff is pretty shiny out of the can;

 

 

A gloss effect might help it look less like a skin tone and more like a tight glove. Also, less abdominal highlighting.
