Graymane
For the wolf hood, try pressmoulding the crotch-wolf from a dreadnought. I found doing that and then leaving the back a bit thinner made it easier to bend/pose. The paws hang nicely on the shoulders too. Dantay VI
For the wolf hood, try pressmoulding the crotch-wolf from a dreadnought. I found doing that and then leaving the back a bit thinner made it easier to bend/pose. The paws hang nicely on the shoulders too. Cheers, GM I have looked out the bits and shall give it a go. I managed to buy some pro-create, which I believe is fairly flexible, so hopefully I can shape it just so... Congrats mate! You know Logan is a much sneakier name... Thank you, I did suggest Logan, but she was not too keen. One of our friends has a little Logan already :) Congratulations buddy! All miniatures (baby Russ included) look fantastic!! Thanks Grieux, baby is fighting git and got home the same day I had to go work offshore. Looking forward to getting home and seeing him... And the rest of the family :) Btw love the redemptor version of Bjorn. ulrik would make an excellent babysitter Lol, I take it that is a vote for the Ulrik head then?? Congrats Danny! Couldn't get her to go with Russell? Afraid not Cody... My wife does not like names which have a ss, or a hissing sound in them as in Chinese she says it can mean bad luck... And thanks buddy, my pack is now one more pup stronger :) Congratulations man! Thanks Night howler Congrats! Cheers :) Well we did eventually come up with a name..... Luke!! Struggled for ages to get a name we both liked, and I was holding him and said "hello....... I am your father" More models to show tonight... Dantay VI
Feki and Geri's bases almost completed, just a few touchups needed. Dantay VI
Hi Mactire... Yup, everyone is doing good. Thanks for the well-wishes :) Struggling with Freki & Geri. 1 will be black and 1 will be white. Decided to do the black wolf first. Any tips on how to do a great black fur?? 28070359_183721505735646_7315376459825141340_o by Danny Taylor, on Flickr 28238761_183721442402319_2074900280460656923_o by Danny Taylor, on Flickr I am struggling to make it Zing!! betrayer41
Already looking good! the bases look great. I did Mine black, then dusted it with grey. I got a dark blue very watered down covered the model and then same thing with black paing. Graymane
Use a dark grey and ink it down to black. Cheers, GM Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/296905-15-shades-of-grey-a-new-start-with-primaris/page/32/#findComment-5017466 Share on other sites
Dantay VI
Well I started again, using panzer dark grey as the base. Ready for washes. Not sure if to go with blue and black to keep it a really cool colour, which will help the wolf stand out from the base, or go with more natural brown and black colours. thumbnail (12) by Danny Taylor, on Flickr thumbnail (11) by Danny Taylor, on Flickr thumbnail (13) by Danny Taylor, on Flickr Bjorn Firewalker 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/296905-15-shades-of-grey-a-new-start-with-primaris/page/32/#findComment-5017513 Share on other sites
Graymane
I think black/brown. Keep the organic warmth of the fur. Blue is more cold/metallic. Dantay VI
Stopped working on the black wolf to get the white wolf done to the same point. Allowing me to do bits common to both at the same time :) Gave the black wolf an initial wash of drakenhof in the deepest recesses before a mix of oiled earth and black wash was done across the model. Both in need of final highlights and on to details What do you think so far? thumbnail (14) by Danny Taylor, on Flickr thumbnail (16) by Danny Taylor, on Flickr thumbnail (15) by Danny Taylor, on Flickr thumbnail (20) by Danny Taylor, on Flickr thumbnail (19) by Danny Taylor, on Flickr thumbnail (17) by Danny Taylor, on Flickr thumbnail (18) by Danny Taylor, on Flickr Krakendoomcool 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/296905-15-shades-of-grey-a-new-start-with-primaris/page/32/#findComment-5018299 Share on other sites
Dantay VI
So thats me done!! There are a good few mistakes still to fix. Like I ran out of black for doing the eyes and I missed a little decoration on Freki as it blended quite well with the fur. The highlights on both stand out more than the photos would suggest also. All things I can fix when I get home. Along with attaching them properly to their bases When I get home I can add the missing obelisk, T-son and arm that I forgot to pack also :D thumbnail (26) by Danny Taylor, on Flickr thumbnail (28) by Danny Taylor, on Flickr thumbnail (30) by Danny Taylor, on Flickr thumbnail (29) by Danny Taylor, on Flickr thumbnail (22) by Danny Taylor, on Flickr thumbnail (23) by Danny Taylor, on Flickr thumbnail (25) by Danny Taylor, on Flickr thumbnail (24) by Danny Taylor, on Flickr Graymane and Krakendoomcool 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/296905-15-shades-of-grey-a-new-start-with-primaris/page/32/#findComment-5018984 Share on other sites
