For the lightning it's simple.
Use :
1. sotek green.
2. temple guard blue.
3. ceramite white.

It is necessary to thoroughly dilute the paint and make a fairly wide area of sotek, then decrease the area with the temple guard blue, and finally decrease the area again with white.

For lightning, make strokes of Sotek green, then Temple guard over by letting appear Sotek and finally with the white by letting the other two colors.

The most important : dilute the paint. It takes the consistency of the milk in bulk.

(sorry it's google trad, i d'ont speak very good english).

Awesome model! ...where is the head from?

It's a blood angels head. I just carved the hair.

Wow, it's been a while since I've visited these parts. So, what did I miss? Something about a new edition..?

For starters! welcome back mate!

I need more painting inspiration leading into 8th. so I need you to get on that

Thanks mate :smile.:

I haven't picked up a brush in weeks unfortunately, but I do have something on my desk now – and plenty of things to follow it

Use different shades. I used cadian flesh tone and a mix of sepia and earthshade for my thousand sons sorcerer.

The more layers the darker.

8th has my painting mojo flowing, so today i've been working on a storm raven squadron leader.

How are you attaching the clear plastic part of the canopy?

How are you attaching the clear plastic part of the canopy?

For my first raven I used super glue very sparingly and didn't have any frosting issues. Same again here, just blow on the glue until dry to dissipate the fumes.

That is a fantastic red Angelus, really nice colours there. I'll be keen to see the finished article :biggrin.:

Thanks. It's a really basic technique;

Army Painter 'Pure Red' Spray for basecoat

GW Carroburg Crimson wash all over

Evil Sunz Red for layer, leaving recesses shaded

Fiery Orange edge highlight

I started right at the end of 2nd edition, so the older 'orange' blood angels scheme really stuck with me.
