depthcharge12
So credits to Garro over on heresy30k for finding this: so the rules PDF for the Acheron is up (no link on site yet, but its there hidden) so the guess is its tomorrows release. http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Downloads/Product/PDF/A/Acheron.pdf highlights, the flamer is hellstorm! and str7 ap3. also has a twin-linked heavy bolter, so it can shoot different targets (main issue with other Cerastus patterns) reaper chainFIST! strD and re-rolls ones on the str D chart, so your gonna feth up whatever you hit really. and its only 415 so its 2nd most expensive knight variant so far (Mageara is 420 with the siege claw). but personally expect the volkite Mageara variant to cost more (far better gun) What do you guys think? Dono1979
Keeping in mind, that like all of the other Experimental Knight rules published recently, they are for 40K, not 30K. Often there is little difference between the stats, but still listed as 40K. Brofist
Is it me or is the lancer looking worse and worse? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/297206-knight-acheron-rules-up/#findComment-3819042 Share on other sites
Tiger9gamer
I'm just worried about the poor castigator. He barely had time in the limelight before this guy comes in with a giant flamer fufilling the anti-horde roll pretty well. spu00sed
I'm liking all of FWs knights. Though I am hoping for some sort of customisation rules in the future, so you could (for example) have a lancer chassis knight with a tempest blade and inferno cannon. I have one question about all of FWs knights though. They all have the rule you may not have more [insert nights name] in your army than you have Knights of other kinds. How does this rule work exactly? Using just forge world knights If I had two lancers would I need two Acherons? or could I have 1 Acheron and 1 Castigator? Russ Brother 92
I would assume that as it states "...knights of other kinds" then it's like the old Death Company rules (you could take 1 DC unit for each Tac squad or Assault squad), so if you want 3 Knight Acheron's then you need to have 3 other Knights but those other three don't have to be the same type (could have 2 Magheara (sp?) and 1 Lancer) etc. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/297206-knight-acheron-rules-up/#findComment-3819188 Share on other sites
