I ended up against Guard, who were using a formation set from the Mont'ka (or Kauyon, I can't remember) campaign books. Basically there was a crap-ton of Leman Russ and a Baneblade kicking about, making a tank line of horror. Then I remembered - I can outflank my Glaive. After weathering two turns of fire, the Glaive arrived on their flank, Autek Mor charged from the Spartan, and everything fell apart. The Glaive took the equivalent of near 20hps over three turns with its beam, as well as 13 or so infantry and driving through a Leman Russ with the powers of fat. Only lost 1hp too. Best kill goes to my first Sicaran though. Not only did it twice survive a Baneblade cannon, demolisher and pair of lascannons on it without a HP lost, it took down the superheavy ALONE. Even without Orth's tank hunter bonuses I usually have. Today's been tight, glad I finally scored a win, and glad the Glaive performed so well for its debut. Eidolon will be representing a Chaplain for small games, backed up by ten buddies with five power spears and jump packs. That's a lot of re-rolling AP2s, now.
