Strugglewithin the crusade: SoH, Alpha Legion, and more wip

I finally got around to joining the 30k movement, mostly because I don't play too much 40k. That said the Heresy background and the FW miniatures have been drawing me in for a while. The final straw was reading this forum for the last few weeks.

 

Anywhoo this will bea slow burning project that takes in some Sons of Horus, Alpha Legion, Blood Angels and hopefully Thousand Sons. I have started with SoH and have been playing with a scheme for Alpha Legion. I don't have an airgun so the FW theme is tricky. The two below are a metallic try and a more turquoise one. Not particularly keen on either. I might try the purple. Any thoughts? I'm not much of a painter I'm afraid.

I have also built a terminator hq for my SoH, I love Justarians and thought I'd I could chaos one up and give this a go.

Just noticed his pads aren't on straight, will fix that!

 

I am currently building some reavers, terminators and tacticals so will be back with them soon, hopefully.

 

Finally I have a load of razor back turrets and in order to save money I have built a mock up tarantula. Do you think this would work? Excuse the cutting this was a rush job just th see if I could be bothered. I have 2 more HB and 3 lascannon so any udeas would be very welcome.

I like the razorback turret conversion as a tarantula. Looks nice.

Would you mind posting how you made the chassis for the tarantulas? I'm definitely going to be stealing that idea.

Especially like the Justaerin conversion. The Zhufor legs add a bit of height over the standard ones. What are your plans for the World Eaters insignia on the front leg plates? Might be worth greenstuffing some of the small gaps between the arms and torso. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
