depthcharge12
Well after all that nostalgia I feel obliged to provide that quote from starship troopers: "Move you apes! Do you want to live forever?!" Mmmh...mechanized infantry Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/298056-sosa-is-coming-whats-your-fluffpaint-scheme/page/2/#findComment-3836593 Share on other sites
Loquille
I've managed to do a test model for them and I'm pretty pleased. Only another 39 to go.. http://i757.photobucket.com/albums/xx212/loquile/IMAG0135_zps226064cc.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/298056-sosa-is-coming-whats-your-fluffpaint-scheme/page/2/#findComment-3837300 Share on other sites
helterskelter
That looks pretty sweet painted up, the scheme rocks. If I didn't need to prepare for walletry suicide (xmas, boxing day, daughter then partners birthday in that order requires prior saving) I'd happily part with the cash for a lasgun section. Not done this allied detachment thing yet, solar auxilla look like a great place to start Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/298056-sosa-is-coming-whats-your-fluffpaint-scheme/page/2/#findComment-3837340 Share on other sites
Daemon2027
I plan to get these guys. Not liking the Forge World scheme on the site. The blue may be better. Loquille, I like your test model. blackoption
As I was looking at the unpainted mini's, I realized I could easily see them painted up in Clone Trooper colors and have them purge the Jedi Temple err... Psyker covens. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/298056-sosa-is-coming-whats-your-fluffpaint-scheme/page/2/#findComment-3837588 Share on other sites

Ordo Machinum
If I add these to my army, they will be from the Unification era as one the Geno Regiments of Old Terra. From the Lexicanium: "The Geno wore a bulky-seeming uniform that nevertheless allowed them to operate with some grace of movement. A thick leather and armourchain bodyglove formed the main item of clothing, with waist-length coats and waist-length capes of yellow Terran silk commonly worn over the top. Their armour segments were lined with fur, and coats and capes were embroidered with company symbols and other military devices. Helmets were of the spiked variety, often trimmed with beads or fur. Standard issue gear was carried in a lightweight pack, with a long sword-bayonet slung at the waist. Uxors wore black, lightweight variants of the uniform, often covered over with gray cloaks or coats." My apologies to Loquille for his stunning pic above, but something like this... Conn Eremon
With my love for fluffing out DIY lore concepts of every possible faction, I intend to flesh out my Conqueror Kings. A would-be Old One Hundred regiment that meets its end at Cerberus, but whose Kinships, as their voidcarriers are called, and old Terran home within the Ellenik Pods, are taken as tithing rights by the War Hounds Legion, forming the basis of my 30th Echelon that goes on to become the Eyes of Tivan warband. If the lore for the Solar Auxilia would exclude them, I'll either create a different concept or twist the Conqueror Kings into something suitable. If I do go with something different, I will likely pull a military group from a different sci-fi setting as inspiration.
