Xin Ceithan Posted November 2, 2014 Share Posted November 2, 2014 So here is the set up for my work on the Call of Chaos I have successfully unearthed the missing boxes and green stuffed and converted some spawn. These have been primed, most models need some further assembling and detail work. and they have to be painted. On time. What have I been thinking.... Anyway, here are the entries. (Yes, these are awful photos. But there isn't much too see yet but for some black primed models. Room to grow and all that...) First, here is the Warpsmith: [bBCode] Maulerfiend, primed [bBCode] And the spawn group shot [bBCode] I am going for a Dark Admech theme here, with the Warpsmith hiring his creations out to other war bands. [edit] Just checked your gallery, progress looks good, but cant really make out much of the details with the black bass coat though so will look forward to seeing them with a bit more paint on them. It's probably my Dark Mechanicum outlook..I feel like a have to beat Machine Spirits into submission as they just won't work for me otherwise ;) I had a photo box ordered just before our move but didn't really get around to set it up. Making pics and uploading is still pretty new to me. But I am confident that it will improve as my IT skills and the details on the mini improve. Guessing you are refering to the lower bronzed areas? Its primed chaos black, followed by blending and drybrushing Tin Bits ( or whatever that is called nowadays). I then used Tamiya metallic weathering on it and glazed Formula P Armour and Turquoise washes over it, following the recesses and the lighting.Make sure everything dries nicely. the darkening on the brighter bronze follows this as well, though it`s more tin bits for the prome colour and the plotching the wash and glazes around the areas I want to darken. badab black to follow the outline. Xin Ceithan Posted January 10, 2015 Author Share Posted January 10, 2015 New Year`s Flu laid me low and I did mostly glazing and washes,,,especialey on the Chaosspawn Lessons learned: FineCast doesn`t take on my regular washes and glazes the same way plastic and FW resin does Plastic wrap for shrouds cuts time short when shaping shrouds compared to Green Stuff - but you pay later on while painting... A beautiful model, though the Finecast makes it not quite fun to paint and it was fidgy to assemble. Should they make it plastic, I`ll definitly built another one! Overview Alphanoid Beltanoid C-lemnoid Deltanoid i will put up a few detail shots soon...to tired tonight. i really rushed these to make the Call, but they turned out quite nice. i am planing on making a new and improved batch further on (with out the time frame of competition9. those new Skaven Ogrethingies look quite up my alley here !
