Rafen IX
Has there been any word about revising the Red Thirst, or is it still a 1 in 6 chance per unit for the whole game?No word on 'Red Thirst' at all as far as I've seen. If anything the rule has been dropped individually from each unit replaced with 'furious charge.' Wether this means it's gone or we get an army wide rule is yet to be seen chap.R
Zynk Kaladin
Brothers, I have a problem. My JP DC need a JP chaplain. One with a bone winged jump pack and skeletal adornments to really scream out the "deathy" side of my NAngels. Even the darkness fears the black abyssal shadow of the Emperor. Ooooh yea... yes. Like ramming a daemon down a daemon's throat. Hehehe... ...Woes of the treacherous indeed.
simison
Good eye, Morticon. I double checked the article and ShadowWolf32387 corrected himself on it being 33/points. He hasn't changed his stance on anything else though.

appiah4
Not sure if I'll pay that much premium for the SG edition, especially considering the regular codex is hardcover and durable enough as is (not to mention I would never be able to even crack the SG edition open to read; the OCD in me would keep it shrinkwrapped in slipcase until I die). This is my reasoning as well. If I were to buy it (and by the emperor do I want one) I would never use it. It would be a collection piece and then I would have to buy a standard one for gaming. I can't justify that right now since I am planning to buy some other stuff already.
Gaweda
I'm going to get one, and it's going to get used, stained and beaten up. I was hoping for a supplement though. Never mind. Oh, and last night I dreamed (yes, dreaming about the new codex...) that frag cannons became AP5. I would dearly love for that to happen! Perhaps it was a vision from Sanguinius...? Silverson
Yea same here with the sanguinary guard edition. Please correct me if I'm wrong but as far as I know it comes with The blood angels codex in a slipcase and shiney ness A painting guide 7 prints For £100 And the normal codex is £30 Is that all correct? I was expecting a supplement and the coin markers similar to the ork special edition release at least ?

SonOfThunder
If that dream comes true you need to start writing down any other dream you remember, you can make some money out of something like that :) Just got news that my copy of deathstorm is waiting for me at the store...can't wait to leave the office, got a dread to magnetize! Different strokes for different folks and all that, but seeing it written down like that I cannot fathom how people justify these limited editions to themselves. Obviously they do and that's entirely there prerogative, my head just can't get to a place where it see the value for money. I struggle to do that with the regular edition too, to be fair. The wonderful looking new tactical squad, though, no problems justifying the money for that.

SonOfThunder
Yah, the whole collector bling makes little sense to many of us, but there's many more people in the world that wouldn't understand paying 30€ for 5 little plastic men, and here we are :)...this whole hobby is premium, every person has a different premium threshold, that's all ;)

Well, yeah I don't really need or want more tactical marines either, but that's not what I'm going to use the box for. Veterans/specialist units and character models, that's where the new extra-blinged parts will be going.

And as for the Special edition codex, depends on value whether or not I will grab it. I mean this is one heck of an expensive hobby, and I already compromise in my purchases, I had to give up buying every single codex in favor of more pewter (okay, now all plastic) crack. Now I just have the codexes for the armies I face on a regular occassion. But if there is lots of shiney in this new dex, I have a VERY hard time resisting shiney,
