Modelling a Plasma Pistol for Terminator Armour?

Just wondering if there were any models with plasma pistols for terminators to steal the pistol/whole arm?

 

Not sure if it would be the best weapon to take to be honest lol, but was trying to find a way to use the Fury of Baal for a Blood Angel Captain, since its master crafted, doesn't get hot, and I assume would mean the Captain gets +1 attack in melee combat, that sounds overall pretty cool (if pricey points wise).

 

If there aren't any models, would it end up looking dinky and small to cut the power armour hand off of a plasma pistol and try glue it onto where a storm bolter was on a terminator arm?

 

I cant imagine that I'm the first person to try do this? or is the Fury of Baal (from the Relics of Baal special weapons section) a special situation? and no other codex has the option for a terminator to have a plasma pistol?

The best that I can perhaps think of is to see if you can get the left arm of the Legion Praetor in Terminator armour from somewhere. While it may not, strictly speaking, be a plasma pistol that he's holding, I imagine that you can perhaps paint/modify it just a little to make it a rather obvious plasma pistol of an ancient and ornate design.

Perhaps ebay might be your best bet for that?

Perhaps modify a plasma gun into a plasma pistol.  Trim off the shoulder stock piece, perhaps cut a bit out of the middle (where the coils are) and push the two remaining halves closer together?  A Termy pistol could/should be bigger than a regular pistol.

That's a really good idea, I'm liking it :-)

I think I'll have to do some measuring and checking then I might do what you suggest and cut up a plasma gun, just don't want to cut too much and end up ruining a plasma gun (the old measure twice cut once thing).

The Khorne Berzerker box has an oversize, archaic plasma pistol on an oversize hand/gauntlet. Either or both will suit a terminator just fine with a minimum of alteration.
