Is one of them giving the fingers? laugh.png They both look very good, great use of bits - very good indeed! thumbsup.gif

He's merely signalling to a comrade that due to previous grievances he will not be supplying supporting fire to his location, is all. :P

I imagine that these guys being at the back and fairly static most of the time means they don't get to do much looting, but on the flip-side, they trade saving people's backsides for deals.

On the other hand...

Battlefields are crazy places, bullets flying everywhere, sometimes friendlies can get hit by their own guys. If the guy you 'accidentally' hit happens to have some really nice gear, its your right, nay duty, to ensure that it is still put to good use in the Emperor's name.

Great work, loving the character on these guys :D

Can't imagine neither a Heavy Bolter nor an Autocannon would leave much of the accidental target's loot intact, though. :P

Thanks. I managed to sit down and get a couple of games in with them this week. Very fun to play, and I really enjoyed seeing them hit the table.

I need to order more Empire Archers and Victoria bitz to finish off much of the rest of the Kill Team, especially considering alternate loadouts I might want to take. I ended up throwing together a Mortar Team and a Medic. The Mortar Team guy I imagined would be a comfortable coward hanging at the very back of the fight, plus in game terms, getting fire on the opponent from behind LoS is incredibly valuable, given how much terrain Kill Team should ideally use. The Medic is also a nice buff, and a guy who'd be good friends with everyone else on the team for saving their backsides. I can imagine them being a back-alley doctor who fancied a change of pace and joined the gang, rather than the usual crazy mad doctor stereotype.

I also managed to get the Leader painted up, still trying to decide on the overall basing for the Team. Decided it'd be best to tier the colours of the dusters. Blue for Leader, Red for Veterans, and Leather for generic Guardsmen. (Any Conscripts I get won't have dusters - they're fresh newbies working their 'initiation.' May use modified Cultist models to represent Hive Ganger recruits.)

Finally, a nice group shot. Looking forward to painting up the Autocannon team next!

Thanks guys. I took a half-day off work to relax and attend a short follow-up appointment for my eyes, which gave me a whole extra afternoon for painting. I managed to get some solid work done on the first Heavy Weapons Team, just need to highlight the crew and get onto basing it next:

And it's only now that I realise the guy flipping the bird has a backwards hand. Looked again, everything's fine. Oh well. I seem to be running low on useful left hands for some reason...

I have decided to make the pledge to buy no more models for the duration of February, so here's the last addition to the Hyenas until my plastic crack lent is over, (I have ordered a certain something for my 4th Tarosian, but that was a bargain and doesn't count.) :P

This here Tauros will be part of the Kill Team as a fast harassment unit. Performed as-expected in a test game; decently useful in Kill Team and very fast, but made of paper and thus died to a Pulse Rifle. It's not officially in the Heralds of Ruin ruleset, but I showed the rules to my opponent and he agreed to playing it, as it doesn't seem much worse than a Scout Sentinel, simply much faster but with bigger gripes for terrain and can't carry decent firepower.

I wanted this to look like a technical job, as I got it cheap with neither weapons nor the rear gunner:

Good luck with that Coffee msn-wink.gif

Your Tauros looks great, the style of the vehicle and the bits and bobs really makes it fit into the Savlar theme. Looking forward to seeing this painted :D

Now that I like. I love Elysian models, specially the Tauros (the small version).

But I am looking at your front tires and wondering if they are not backwards, meaning wrong side. Switching them from left to right and vice versa.

It took me a while, but I see what you mean Vash. A bit annoying, but ah well, it's a small detail that will probably go unnoticed. Sadly the models came pre-assembled, and there was a lot of suspension bits and such attached to the wheel that are a bit too delicate to risk detaching it.

Anyway, I managed to spend much of the day painting the Puma, and am pretty chuffed with the result. Wanted it too look suitably dirty and muddy. Planning on talking over using alternate weapons on it, basically using the points costs as-per the Sentinel weapons upgrades, (will probably use a Heavy Bolter, or drop the price by 5pts to put a Stubber on it.) Naturally, I think a rear-mounted machine gun-esque weapon will capitalise on making it look more like a technical, especially a weapon like the Stubber. Plus it'll make it more like a Warthog, and that's always a bonus! tongue.png

I've managed to kitbash a Short-Barrelled Autocannon to proxy as one for now, (my justification is that it has less muzzle velocity meaning shorter range and less striking power.)

Hoping to get something a bit more Grenade Launcher-y together, though. I imagine it'd just be a slightly upscale Grenade Launcher that has a higher rate of fire, but tough to find the right bit that isn't attached to a Guardsman's arm.

Updated above pictures with slightly better quality ones. Finished the read gunner, just need to get the driver painted and then this baby is done.

Alternate weapon loadouts here:

The last one is my "Short-Barreled Autocannon," to count as a Tauros Grenade Launcher. Still looking for a suitably chunky GL to use instead.

Thanks guys, this has been a very fun project so far, and I've still got a good load of Guardsmen and Heavy Weapons Teams to paint before it's done! Just need to paint the Tauros' driver, then I'll probably switch to another of my forces for a bit, to keep everything fresh. I have a handful of Tau units to get painted up, as well as my other Guard army. (So plenty to get on with for now!)

Hoping to get some bitz ordered after February ends to expand this force a bit, mostly alternative special weapons, maybe another squad of Guardsmen, a Sentinel, Hellhound, and maybe just maybe another Tauros! Quite nice being able to drip-fed into this force like this, makes spending a little less painful, and I'm looking forward to using some bitz I've bartered off friends to personalise the next batch even more.

I love your work on the Tauros assault vehicles- so 'Mad Max', so 'The Road Warrior'.

That reminds me: Why did Games Workshop choose to name the new Imperial Guard dedicated transport a "Taurox"? The name is EXTREMELY similar to "Tauros", and sure to cause headaches to those who write Codex Supplements for their own armies.
