(and me shamelessly showing off some of my Eldar)It is a battle between my Eldar of Craftworld Iyanden vs my Black Legion.I let my friend take control of the Chaos forces as I took on the role of my Eldar. Shame on me for not playing Black Legion.The battle was a Black Legion Altar of War scenario, 'Kill them all!'.The defender deploys in a circle 12" from the middle, and the attacker 12" from that bubble. The Chaos forces get to recycle dead units (apart from special characters).The game is won by Chaos by eleminating ALL opposing units. So all I had to do was survive for at LEAST 5 turns.The game ended in a win for my Eldar, but my Chaos Forces would have wiped my leftover forces if the game continued to turn 6.Key moment: When Abaddon ALMOST fell the Wraithknight on the charge, a lucky roll of 4 Feel no Pain rolls saved the Wraithknight. I'm going to try a few test pieces with it and see how it goes, with a few tweaks here and there. I went to War Gear's page as well, thanks for the link, solid stuff there as well. One thing that stands out to me though is the lack of any gold trim on some of the vehicles. Its sort of a signature Black Legion look, and i think a few bits and pieces picked out in gold on the vehicles would really tie them in alot better with the infantry. Shinobi Posted May 20, 2015 Author Share Posted May 20, 2015 Thanks.I've been delving more into the whole "Dark Mechanicus" thing as a detachment to Abaddon's forces, and I've been looking into using the actual Ad-mech codex and Skitarii codex instead of Imperial Armour 13.I am a bit conflicted about the whole thing though... I made a stupid promise not to buy any miniatures this year (although trading and receiving gifts are ok), so it's holding me back for the moment.Anyways. My idea (once I get my hands on a box, one way or another...) is to use the Skaven Stormfiends as a base for Kastellan Robots. I will add some chaosy and ad-mechy bits of course, but mainly using them as the base for the builds.I see them as warp entities (or just big mutants) being controlled through dark technology. I'm going to go through some of the stuff I don't use for the moment, and see if I can trade it with local gamers for some boxes of stuff I want for conversions in my slowly progressing Dark Mechanicus army alongside my Black Legion. I thought your conversions were really awesome, but then this last page has really impressed me. Great use of bits.
