Cheers for the info. It can be a bit daunting trying to work out what is a reasonable entry level. I'll play about with the brushes it comes with and then get a better quality one. :D

The boards are looking really good!!! Having a good looking board does really increase the enjoyment of a game.

I completely agree with you, im even considering extending the barren wastes board to a 3x3.

With the new FW realm of battle in bound I thought what a perfect opportunity to spend more money.

If I was to do this I'd need 4 more plain extension boards or 2 extension boards and 2 trench works boards, some craters attached to the board, maybe the quake cannon ones the wrecked rhino and a crashed Aquilla could be used to add extra details.

Thoughts?

Im not the biggest fan of scattered terrain as most gamers try set it to there advantage

I however like to have debris tank traps razor wire barricades etc everywhere, a real battle board shouldn't be deconstructed and reconstructed, in reality you have no control over your terrain and I want to keep my hobby realistic from here on in.

No bastions or anything just craters wrecks and the GW terrain traps :)

Im in agreement on that, in fact I've decided to base my armies to suit the board.

So I'm blending the cloaks to the board.

The misses is driving up to my job site this Saturday with my new airbrush so I'll finish this project next week.

Started planning out the next board so psyched to unveil it

WOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! City boards are the coolest. So much opportunity for extra details and awesome paint job.

Exactly ;)

My plan is to start off with a Genet opium city sector and the industrial generator and manufactorum boards, followed by the ZM boards.

It's more an industrial loading area then a city section.

But the city section will come

So update time;

The misses is bringing the airbrush up tomorrow so I'm happy about that, but being impatient like I am I had to do something to pass the time.

So here we go;

First you need a 750 gram piece of rump steak

then listen to etienne sin's album of punk goes pop

So I'm working on 3 things first the cockpit canopy

The exposed interior

Shouldn't the Fellblade be heavier than the cat? I mean its pretty significant chunks of resin.

..Another point to us in the Dog camp. They cant jump up onto tables and knock stuff down  (well, my Daschund certainly cant)..

Hopefully its not too bad... :X

Awesome terrain Kurama. I'm very tempted in getting the crashed thunderhawk tile, is it made from the same plastic as the realm of battle boards, or is it resin? If it is that the later, did you have any warping issues? Thanks.

So to answer your question tge board is cast from a hollow resin technique similar to the normal realm of battle board produced by GW, it however wasn't warped in any way shape or form.

Whilst the GW RoB is cast on a grid to provide strength the FW ones are not.

So I've hit some areas with typhus corrosion ryza rust and my own glaze shade mixtures for superheated metal.

I'm hoping once this clear coat dries I can show the details.

Edit:

Now I've got a carton of guinness and just put space marine in time to mess :cuss up.
