Though the worlds were developed by the normal standards of the Long Night they had little in the way of co-operation. The Imperial Host, lead by Warsmith Toraregokk of the 145th Grand Company stripped the worlds of their armed forces, there waring factions and the sense of self rule in a series of utterly brutal assaults that left over three million dead. In the face of such overwhelming force even the most rebelious faction's will broke. The rebuilding process began in earnest and within six months the entire regions infastructure has been rebuit, improved. Works from all worlds were moved en mass to other regions, populations were mixed wholesale and almost none of the pre-imperial identity remained.So it was for the seventy years before the outbreak of the Horus Heresy theystood as a monument to the great crusade. Seven star systems working as a single unbroken organism of imperial truth. The worlds were capable of breeding high quality solider stock, excessive food production and high quantities of munitions and Armour. When its most famous sons threw in there lot with Horus it forever tarnished the as the breeder worlds of traitors. The worlds themselves remained loyal and supplied many of the foes of Horus with munitions and food stocks. They even stood against those traitor army hosts who were sent to secure its resources.For the ten thousand years that followed the Casternall worlds proved time and time against to be a foe to the Emperors enemies. However they never truely saw themselves as being free of 'a taint'. Inquisitors from all ordo's heard the term being used and regularly hunted for chaos cults. Even the most radical of their ilk to visit the world found that all but a handful truely were loyal to the Emperor.So when the 13th Black Crusade came it was a shock when the entire Casternall worlds, as one, turned from the emperor and sided with chaos. Little did the Imperium know the IV legion had returned to reclaim what it has built...----------------------------------------------------------So lets begin in proper. It's time for this log to finally begin. I want 30k allied imerial army force. I also want to have flyers... and tanks... and 40k IG stuff. So basically i need an army that can be fielded in two systems with four different source books. So why bother making four armies when i can make one horde of chaos in the truest style of the Eye of Terror codex. Well.... i can't be blamed for wanting the bad guys to have guns. So today represents my last evening of freedom before i set off for the Horus Heresy Weekender. I've decided to finish the test model for my infantry and added some details to the thunderbolt. I'm going to run it through purple next time to get a bruised look rather than a raw look. They are part of my 40k host. The IV legion i'm collecting are pre-chaos, the guard are both era's and the word bearers are going to be kept to 40k unless i do any calth games. Skrall Posted April 21, 2015 Author Share Posted April 21, 2015 A very very long time ago i began a small modelling project for a renegade army based on the Zoica faction in the sabbat worlds series.That project snow balled beyond all reason and imagining. It is still growing even to this day. The army as stands consists of over 20 leman russ tanks, five or six super heavy pieces and a host of artillery support. Thank you sir! Nothing wrong with heresy, perfectly healthy. It's been years and years since i've fielded an actual chaos marine army. The codex is poor, the current lore is uninspiring and there's little fun to be had unless you spam the same cookie cutter chaos/daemons list. That however changed when i got my hands on Imperial armour 5 and 13. I've since had a few dark plans and my Iron Warriors, unseen using a chaos codex since the death of 3.5 are back. I do rather enjoy the hazard stripes. Time for a new conversion. This one is actually going to take a little bit of time to complete because it's quite a complex. I have a rather fancy plan for him but it's going to take some work. The theme? The genocide on Olympia. The lore describes a word reduced to death, where bodies burned in the streets and all was ash.
