Chapter 1:

Genesis

Since the beginning we have been seen as angels, some see us as the harbingers of death and creatures of wrath others see us as savior's and the scions of enlightenment.

 

When the emperor created the astrates he planned for us to be the tools to spread the teachings of the imperial truth, the genetic epitome of science and the front line soldiers of his empire.

 

But alas this simple concept was his undoing, it was not meant to be.

 

After all every man needs something to believe in, as a species we can not accept our fate and place within the universe this in turn leads to the worship of false idols and placing our beliefs in entities that truly do not benefit our race.

 

Of all the astrates we never believed our cousins would be the first to turn to the worship of chaos. We never believed our fathers judgment could have been so wrong.

 

But worst of all none of us thought the emperor could be capable of such human folly. Yet still we will follow him, we will even worship him.

 

For who are we to spit into the face of God, our creator, our emperor.

Firstly, dude, sweet. Secondly, I'd lighten the blue a fraction, you're on the line of light night lord/dark ultramarine, it's your highlights pushing it toward dark ultra. Not knocking the shade mind it's really nice

Chapter 2:

 

Revelations

 

 

 

 

 

"To me the thing that is worse than death is betrayal. You see, I could conceive death, but I could not conceive betrayal."

 

 

 

After the shattering of our legion in the skies of Calth, our chapter was pushed passed the limits of even our superhuman tolerances, vox chatter spoke of betrayal from our legion and from without, words of our fathers death flooded the vox frequencies & lies of our cousins poisoned our minds and resolve.

 

There was not one amongst us that could stand resolute in our convictions for each and everyone of us considered if we could turn and prosecute our brethren and our kind as the XVIIth prosecuted us.

 

We have sentenced world's to die on the whim of an imperial decree and wiped races and civilizations from the face of existence by a simple order, we were created for slaughter, genocide, annihilation.

 

We are the ultimate weapons in the emperors arsenal, yet were surprised that such a weapon can be turned against us. Truly our history as a race us destined to repeat, this I can forgive but the manner in which this war is waged I cannot forgive.

 

 

The sons of Lorgar have committed atrocities in the name of the emperor and in the name of the pantheon, the former I forgive, the latter I will seek revenge.

Depthcharge12- no illuminati here brother just a hidden genesis symbol :)

 

Helterskelter- this is on purpose I want my Ultras to be a dark foreshadowing of what the 40k versions are to be, the Genesis chapter are arrogant and self righteous I want to show that the darkness of the astrates was present in every legion and that the Genesis chapter accepted all the wrong doings and developed a conviction to prosecute everyone and everything.

 

Slipstream- good use of the pun but I guarantee I'll prosecute some traitor fists now ;)

So update on my project (planning side);

 

I've really quite enjoyed doing the recon squad and im thinking of using them as tactical marines if im to do this I'll need another 15 of them and I think this might work for what I have in mind.

Wyvern- got to keep dreaming buddy it's all that keeps us going, im going to finish this project I have to finally finish an army.

 

Vazzy- well hello there My favourite ultras player/ blogger.

 

Fire golem- I'm fine with that :) I have taken this route to try stick to my memories of rogue trader and the old way ultras were painted, plus it also stands out from the 40k counterparts, I have the original mkii scheme FW released in visions of heresy and that's part of my inspiration.

 

Well enough rambling I have work to do and a thunderhawk battle tile to paint :)
