paz
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/shadow/211_zps8vfhi69l.jpg This particular plog is gunna be primarily about building my Khorne daemonkin, followed by random 30k-and 40k astartes, and hopefully some inquisition and admech in there for good measure. Legion: Word Bearers (XVII Legion) Chapter: Chapter of the eternal spiral Battles of Note: Took part in shadow crusade, fighting the Ultramarines across the 500 worlds. operated from the cardinal-class Cruiser Exhumation of Eternity, the chapter struck out on its own, breaking off from the main Word Bearers/World Eaters fleet, operational status unknown. Chapter Members of note: Dark Apostle Eresh Drauga Eresh Drauga was a member of High Chaplain Erebus' inner circle. More the warrior than the priest, Drauga was quick to form daemonic pacts as he rose to power within the ranks of the VIII legion. Drauga even allowed daemonic possession of his body. After Calth, and the betrayal of so many battlebrothers by Erebus and Kor Phaeron, Drauga struck out on his own, sailing his ship and chapter into the void. Rumors persist of attacks across the Segmentum Ultramar, whispers and cut-short astropathic cries for help, of a dark Astartes warrior-priest and the hardened veterans and daemonic legions he wields against enemies of his mysterious agenda. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/shadow/207_zpsbhlp24kl.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/shadow/208_zpsvu0lelvk.jpg Sargeant Oruth Barcadus, 37th Tactical Support Squad, Chapter of the eternal Spiral (these can be used as both Draznicht;s raiders, from the crimson slaughter supplement, or as a tactical support squad from the legions codex) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/shadow/206_zpsbinvwuwy.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/shadow/210_zpsao19yahb.jpg The Dark Covenant Sluuarrgh, the Decapitator, the Cut in the Dark, the end of the Beginning(Herald of Khorne) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/shadow/203_zps4vdexxw6.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/shadow/202_zpsd8it7rin.jpg Cohort of the Thrashing Effervescence http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/shadow/209_zpsos5tdq6t.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/shadow/201_zpszoj39pvx.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/shadow/200_zpspxa231te.jpg A lot of conversion and greenstuff work, and more to come, so stay tuned as I begin to paint these bad boys! GrandMagnus
Brutally awesome stuff, the head of the commander and the deamons remind me of the Faun from Pans Labyrinth, in some weird way, maybe because of the small twists on the brow. Urauloth
Wow, liking everything I'm seeing here. Eresh Drauga is fantastic - I can almost always identify the components that went into any given mini, but I can't quite do it with him. Terrific use of that FW helm. Looking forward to seeing more, and also seeing thse guys painted. Unknown Chronicler
Amazing! Conversions are just superb and really love in the direction you are going! Though I despise the Word Bearers (because of Erebus mainly...) I will say that you are on the corrupt direction brother ;) Following this! Ovidius Incertus
Love the conversion between the Chaos axe and the blade from a Pain Engine. Very tidy work. What is the maul on the apostle? paz
Thanks guys! Sorry for the wait, sadly one cannot complete an art degree with miniatures (oh what a world that would be) I played my first game of 7th with the new daemonkin codex, so awesome, and now I'll have more free time to paint oh so many khorne daemons!! Kizzdougs
Oh yeah!! I've been waiting to see some paint on these bad boys! Awesome paint job dude, the flames and script are particularly impressive :) That newest conversion is looking very promising. You've taken a pretty average mini and made it look amazing. Now he just needs some paint. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/303994-~pazs-workbench-fort-pykman-dw-vet-p8/#findComment-4001409 Share on other sites
KrautScientist
Fantastic job! That Skarr Bloodwrath conversion just takes the cake, though! Absolutely brilliant! Any chance of a closer look at the face? It's not easy to make out what's going on with that...
