Dosjetka
I painted this up a while back but have been looking at it more and more since I've been thinking of going back to my very first love, the Imperial Fists. I'm posting this here for a bit of feedback, though keep in mind that the weathering was also a test and is probably a bit on the heavy side of things, especially on the foot. Blissful Brushes
I quite like it, it is perhaps a bit heavy on the foot, but such is the nature of sponge weathering - the feet always take a beating from the sponge 'cause of the angle. One thing that might be worth you trying is treating them like tanks; that's what I do to fairly good results on the whole. Base them in a mix of umber/metal, varnish, heavy chipping fluid. Apply your main colours then give them the toothbrush treatment. Tyrannicide
The smaller and thinner the scratching is, the more realistic it is. Other than that, carry on, sir. :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/304385-imperial-fist-test-piece/#findComment-3971522 Share on other sites
Lachdannan
I think the weathering is sound, and you have already mentioned that it is a little too heavy. No you just have to do the rest of the model ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/304385-imperial-fist-test-piece/#findComment-3971765 Share on other sites
