A mind without purpose will wander in dark places

Ok, so I have been quite fascinated with the whole Inq28/=I=munder stuff for a while, and have been dabbling with models for the last few years. But, as with all my projects, I get distracted and move onto the next idea, or new kit, and nothing ever gets done. The above quote is very fitting, purpose is what I need, or more precisly, an idea in which to anchor a project.
A while back I had an idea to make a Magos, who specialised in the trade of human slaves, feeding the needs of the Mechanicum on a biological level. I never saw the idea out, but it got me thinking, a Magos on a border planet is a very powerful character. Salvaged tech, slaves (human, mutant and xeno), weapons, a Magos could find himself at the center of all the trade. From this one model and his routine of guards, attendants, adepts, and constructs, I can spiral off into Salvager crews, Mercs and bounty hunters, Rogue Traders, and then fill out thier world with mutants, cultists, Operatives, and of course, the Inquisition.

Unfortunately I don't have the bits to build the Magos at the moment but I have made one of his adepts. The picture doesn't really show off the head which I'm quite proud of. It's a mask over a skull, with lost of tubes and wires.

This adept had his face replaced to represent the Omnisiah, before being promoted to the head of the Magos trade concerns, so uses a mask to put normal humans at ease. The shoulder mounted weapon is popular among adepts who have not added mechandites to thier system

Current work on a Mechanicum Construct. I am unsure on what to place on the left arm at this point. I'm tempted to just add some wires and leave at that.

Tech, and willing recruits is hard to come by in the border systems so to sure up his personal guard the Magos has created several constructs. The body, kept fresh with a mix of chemicals, is controlled by the servo skull built into the nervous system. Control belongs with the Magos, but he also has basic Attack protocols that can initiated if the correct code is transmitted. Note the Vox mounted on the shoulder, and the cherub operator, this Indicates that the construct is often used in pacification roles, probably of the Magos slave interests.

I built the next guy well over a year ago, but have updated him with a better base, hood, and some GS tubing. He is the first member of a merc gang which often trades with the Magos, and has acted as muscle for him in the past.

This Mercs weaponry and gear suggest a past with the Imperial Guard, which probally means he is a deserter. The border planets allow such individuals to create a new life, one just as dangerous but with far better pay. There is no indication to the origins of this merc, but the need for breathing apparatus suggests he is from a mining world

This is just the start, I have a blind scribe figure who I'm in the process of painting, and a second merc in the process of building. Plus the ideas, Nurgle tainted doctors, truescale marines, bounty hunters, daemons, navigator household, xenos (which I obviously won't post here), the list goes on.

Definitely shades of Blanche here (not fifty, before anyone thinks of cracking that joke). I must say that the adept, although supposedly wearing a mask to keep the population calm, the size of it in relation to his body is only just large enough to be kinda weird. :P

Thanks guys.

Olis, I think the adept is to far removed from humanity at this point and doesn't realise the mask in no way makes him appear more human like.

I've shown this guy before but I thought I would drop him in here to, a servo scribe. He only took a few hour to paint and that was mostly waiting for the wash to dry. I will rebase at some point.
