sedibear
^^^ I remember reading something about that no-helmet thing somewhere. I'll dig through stuff when I get home. *Furyou Miko
According to Blood of Martyrs, sisters have to earn their helmets in combat. This is derived from the 'Sabbat-pattern helm' artefact from Dawn of War: Soulstorm, which took the standard Sisters helmet and made it into a magic item the canoness had to earn. vonny
That's..... well, kinda what I'd expect from blood of martyrs by now, really. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/304684-order-of-the-blushing-maiden/page/2/#findComment-3982082 Share on other sites
Bjorn Firewalker
That's..... well, kinda what I'd expect from blood of martyrs by now, really. Is 'Blood of Martyrs' that badly written? (I don't have the book.) It sounds like the Adepta Sororitas are all required to ingest stupid pills on a regular basis. *Furyou Miko
Blood of Martyrs was written by someone who had looked at a few Sororitas forums, played Dawn of War, and glanced at the Inquisitor's Handbook... maybe checked Lexicanum a couple of times. I'm fairly sure you'll have come across my 'Civilian Bolters and magic eye lasers' rant a few times. Hellios
The guardsman is just following proper protocol. The sister's bolter is more valuable than the guardsman, so the guardsmen must go first to protect it. That's why guard infantry advances in front of guard armour. And earning armour wouldn't be crazy... By sister standards... I mean they do decide not to wear any when they've been naughty... And swap out the most holy bolter for a big chainsword...
