Work's been busy, but I did manage to get a lil further on this guy. Should I give him Mk2 or Mk3 legs?

I think mk 2; it channels the overlapping plates of lamellar.

Really great takes on the 5th. They're really inspiring and helping me get in the zone for painting the big boy himself.

SkimaskMohawk makes a good point about the overlapping style of Mk II. I think you should start with Mk II. If you don't like it just add big knee and shin plates as that's essentially what Mk III is.

This is probably one of the dumber I things I do in this hobby

Then I file them flat. I like it because I spend so much time on my dudes, the extra weight makes them feel more substantial when I play. Entirely a tactile thing.

It feels nice. I used to use coins, but then they started making bases with textures, so I had to come up with this instead. Here's a side project I've been working on- the infernal engines known as 'pickles' and 'knuckles'. Resin bases means no lead weights hah

Those combi-chooms loom great; are they 3d printed?

Was just looking at this myself :)  I'm guessing with all your wonderful conversion work that people don't care much for such a thing?

Oooh are those the Anvil Industry scopes? I have them on my wish list for my seekers. They look lovely.

And nice work on weighting the bases. Not only does it feel nicer, you lower the centre of gravity, so it’s better on the tabletop too.

Thanks man! It's going to be important for this army, since I'm using the old metal raptor backpacks. Here's the squad leader. Turned out better than I expected:

Lovely. I can see you’ve done loads of different things there and yet it all comes together. I especially like the bionic leg. Where’s the head from?

Here's what I've been working on. Took longer than I expected. I was going to magnetize, but it was bear so I just dropped the idea. Tiny spikes were also a test of patience, but I like the net effect.
