Kydoimos
Hi everyone, I'm coming with a question regarding pre-Heresy Imperial Fists Terminators. I'm planning to get 10 of these guys in a Spartan, with power axes and storm shields, the IF specific Vigil pattern, that will take the form of those Black Templars shields : http://www.bitzarium.com/black-templars/4594-bouclier-tempete-1.html And I'm planning to use these axes : http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/The_Horus_Heresy/Legiones_Astartes/Space_Marine_Legion_Army_List/LEGION_ELITES/Legion_Terminator_Squad/CATAPHRACTII_POWER_AXE_SET.html But ! It appears that FW didn't think too long about the compatibility between their different products. As you can see both the axes and the shields are designed for left arms. I could still magnetize the shields on the right arm and that wouldn't be too obvious but I was wondering if any of you had a better idea. I searched on other proxy sites and found some but not really sure that it would fit a Terminator body. Does anyone already had this problem ? Thanks for your help! Carlson793
From the looks of it, if you don't need those combi-bolters, trim the hands from those (favor the hand over the gun), trim the hands from the axes (favoring the axes), and glue the axes to the combi hands. There ya go - right handed axes. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/305818-shields-and-axes/#findComment-4002420 Share on other sites
Reyner
You could get the shields and axes from the Phalanx Warders kit? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/305818-shields-and-axes/#findComment-4002489 Share on other sites

There ya go - right handed axes. Damn, that's a good idea! Simple ; so simple that I should have thought about it! :) You could get the shields and axes from the Phalanx Warders kit? The problem is that the hands in this kit are designed to fit normal Marines, not Terminators. I'm afraid that the difference in size between the Terminator arm and the Mk IV hand will be too much. It would have been an excellent idea though, I really like those shields too. Tyberos the Red Wake
The reason Forge World made the Terminator weapons so counter-intuitive is because they were meant for shooting Terminators, meaning the weapon that should normally go in the right hand got moved to the left to make room for a Storm Bolter/Combi-Bolter. Storm Shields are very rare in the Horus Heresy and I think they usually come with Thunder Hammers, so they haven't had a reason to make right-handed Terminator power axes. Peredyne
The Cataphractii and Tartaros Terminators hands are very close in size to the standard Marine power armor hands. I've used Tartaros weapon hands on Mk V marines. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/305818-shields-and-axes/#findComment-4004040 Share on other sites

Ion
I've used normal marine hands on a cataphractii and it looks fine. You may just want to put rivets on it if you are able, but it doesn't matter much.
