Welcome to ETL IV and the Realm of Chaos Strategium! Here is the home for those who want to participate in the ETL putting their weight behind the Codex: Chaos Space Marines, Khorne Daemonkin and Chaos Daemons! You can also use options from the Black Legion and Crimson Slaughter.

E TENEBRAE LUX IV RULES

So what purpose does the Strategium serve? Well, its official function includes the following:

Post vows & declare completions. This is very important as placing the vows elsewhere will create unnecessary confusion and lead to mistakes. Also if you do not report the completion here, your status will not be updated.
Participation tables. Here I will be updating the rosters of participation so make sure you see your name is listed and that your status is correct - and if not, notify me. Furthermore, given the diversity of the Angels of Death faction, I will group all participants according to the forum of origination.
Post your pictures. Remember, we need at least two – one “before” and one “after” but feel free to post as many WIP pictures as you like!
Weekly updates. This is where I’ll be posting every week an update of the event in general so the frater can keep track of what is going on in the wider picture.
You are also welcome to use this thread to encourage each other, devise strategies, discuss the developments of the ETL and of course ask questions. For the latter you can also PM me.

Before we kick off I’d like to bring your attention to the fact that his year, apart from the Codex: Chaos Space Marines & Codex: Chaos Daemons you may choose one of the following FW lists for your vows if you so wish:

I, KrautScientist, rise to the challenge of E TENEBRAE LUX and vow to complete...

1 Iron Warriors Warsmith (Chaos Lord w/ Terminator armour, Lightning Claw and power weapon, 122 points) and
1 Fabius Bile Counts-as from Codex: Chaos Space Marines (165 points), as well as
1 Chaos Knight Paladin (conversion) from Codex: Imperial Knights (375 points)

of a total value of 662 points on or before August 1st, 2015. Success will bring eternal glory to Chaos in general and Khorne's Eternal Hunt in particular and failure will doom me to bear the Badge of the Oathbreaker until the year-end.

Stupid question, Codex Khorne Daemonkin is a viable army list for the Chaos Faction, correct? I ask because it isn't a supplement(or if it is, then it is vastly different from Black Legion and Crimson Slaughter) but it isn't listed. This is more for clarification than anything else.

i) Forge World has produced the Second Edition of the first and second volumes of Imperial Armour (Imperial Guard and War Machines of the Adeptus Astartes respectively) as well as Imperial Armour 13 (Warmachines of the Lost and the Damned) and various Apocalypse supplements. These books cover all the issues with vehicles that participants may want to use along with their Codex force i.e. point values and compatibility with certain Codices. Relic vehicle rules means that, vehicles that would otherwise be reserved for the Horus Heresy setting can now be used in the 40k context and to support your preferred faction!

SO! This means we need to uphold our glorious Primus Inter Pares title from last year. Which will be a little harder, seeing as those loyalist scum are so frightened of us they've banded together again. Apparently the Angels of Death and the Black Templars do need to flock together to best us... Well, the harder they try, the harder they'll fall.

I'll post my vow up tomorrow night, when I've made äll my 'before' pictures. Be sure there'll be another Lord of War in there.

Be nice if someone made a few good ways to make 3000pts - or probably, 'squads that make a good chunk of points that you need to get done', rather than just x number of spawn!

Good ways of hitting 3000... kinda depends what you've got access to. Given who I'm talking to I'll assume everything, so Land Raiders are pretty good. Chosen, if you can make them look the part? Terminators and Obliterators are pretty spendy as well.
