I like the UM Primarch, definitely fits my image of him, though I'm still not one for heads - it's a good try though!

Would be very interested to see and know more about the UM invictus suzerain models/unit.  Might be a good excuse to paint some UM's!

Are there any pictures of Ultramarines Cataphractii terminators in the book?

If so can someone post it?

If you do, I swear I'll make a pledge for the ETL on the spot!

I was terrified when I saw the White Scar marines...I really don't my last legion to be released just yet lol. I spoke to Alan Bligh and he said the intention is that in the next 4-6 months legion specific armour and pads will have been released for all 18 legions. He also said that he wanted Rites of War to be released for each so everybody could start their legion of choice. Awesome.

I asked what the next book will be. He told me that the next book will be out around Christmas. He is working on a lot of content for Shattered Legions, Shadow Crusade, Black Shields, Thrammas and Prospero. He couldn't tell me what the next book would be. I got the feeling that it hadn't been decided yet...

Next Primarch:
I personally believe that Simon Egan is working on Alpharius and that Edgar is working on Perturabo. Simon says work is going well but gave nothing away. Simon said that the intention is to be up-to-date before the next book is released. 4 more Primarch's this year then!

Damn straight that perturabo/alpharius/corax should be next!

Slipstreams: feel the same way about the strike terminators and tyrant siege terminators.

I'm also going to go out on a limb and say EC players probably feel the same way about their JP unit and Palatine Blades :P

Two things struck me from that last round of pics.

1st - Gulliman has awesome rules that are both fluffy and pretty damn hard on the table top. I love that his named his gun the Arbitrator "for the matters it settled." Heh... tax accountant this.

2nd - The warlord has Cerastus-Knight shinguards for toe protection blink.png

Word Bearers:

mhara gal is in there, along with two new characters and a two man unit (command squad for one of the characters)

daemonic dark apostle good stats, wargear etc, makes ashen circle troops and lets them buy dark challenging, has a two man 'super gal vorbak' bodyguard

mid level character, mid-level powers, can make all WB units WS5 for one turn

I'll take it.

Also some significant changes for Titans

All patterns:

- never blocked in assault

- immune to haywire, dangerous terrain, psychic attacks other than whichfire

Reaver and Warlord:

- can only be hit on 6 during assault by infantry and monstrous creatures and 5-6 by sup-heavy walkers

Warlord only:

- stomp attack with 5'' blast

Wow, the 6s to hit in close combat is harsh. How are these 1000 ton machines dancing their feet around so quickly that a breacher squad can't cover them with melta bombs, or a fex can't rugby tackle them?

Punching a Warlord Titan might be a bad Idea anyways. The primary way of taking them down would be from shooting it with other Titans. Heretical, I know :p

I'm house ruling that joke of a rule away.

Don't bring a powerfist to a titan-fight.

Unless you want to try to bro-fist the winner. msn-wink.gif

I wonder if a Warlord v Warlord fisticuffs (they have claw and fist options) still means they're hitting each other on 6s or not?...if thats the case there should be rules for Collateral damage.

The word bearers (of all legions) have shown that hitting a titan at its joints with vast quanities of melta bombs is a good way to take them down.

And at least one iron warrior has taken on a Warhound with a power fist and almost won (the titan cheated and had back up).

I sincerely doubt that rule is referring to a dodge rate, but the difficulty of actually hitting it where it would actually affect it.

An ant can bite my foot all it wants, but it would have to climb into my shoe and sock, crawl all the way down, and just tear into the soft flesh between my toes if it expects me to notice it.

The 6s to hit is more of a "can they really reach anything vital" kind of thing, I'd guess. A guy with a power fist really isn't going to do that much damage milling about the thing's feet in the time frame of a single close combat phase.
