Can anyone join?  Or is this a closed group now?

Do you have to make a pledge like the ETL?

It's just I have some Salamanders to build...

Join in buddy! It's open anytime!

It's kinda like ETL where you pledge some models but you set your own timeframe and deadline :)

So I finished my Corpse Taker Unit by June 30th:

Corpse Taker Unit 01

Apothecary Vivisector 01

Apothecary Vivisector 03

Apothecary Vivisector 02

Apothecary Vivisector close

Dissection Servitors 01

Dissection Servitors 02

Here's the fluff for my Corpse Taker unit:

"The Harvest"

The Exorcist marine dragged his broken, bleeding body forward through the rubble of his squad mates. The Astral Claws' Vindicator had caught them in the open and laid waste to them with it's Demolisher cannon. The Exorcist shook his head weakly, not understanding how the vehicle had caught them so unaware. He knew he was dying and would soon be dead with the rest of his squad.

Through the choking miasma of dust and smoke, he viewed a power armored figure approaching their position rapidly. He could just make out the distinct shape of the Narthecium on the figure's right arm. He released a deep breath, setting off a round of bloody coughing, but he knew that he and the rest of the squad's gene-seed would return to the chapter. The Apothecary moved quickly amongst the bodies, gathering the precious Progenoid Glands from the dead.

The Exorcist looked up at the approaching figure, "Grant me the Emperor's peace, Brother, and return my gene-seed to the chapter with my battle-brothers."

The figure cocked it's head to one side, almost questioningly, "You won't have to worry about your gene-seed. It will be put to good use." With that, the figure shifted it's position to motion to the figures just beyond him. With that motion, the Exorcist saw the chapter badge of the figure, a 7 pointed star clutched by a black claw: The Tyrant's Legion, the hated Astral Claws. The Exorcist knew this was not just an apothecary, but an Apothecary Vivisector, one of the dreaded Corpse Takers.

The Exorcist struggled to back away, pulling his bolt pistol and firing the remaining rounds at the Corpse Taker. None of the shells penetrated the armor and the Apothecary finally kicked the pistol away and stepped on the Exorcist's broken chestplate. The Exorcist could almost feel the malicious smile of the Apothecary through his helmet as he said , "Don't worry, Brother, your gene-seed will be put to good use in the ongoing war..." and the Narthecium cut through the marine's chest to harvest the precious progenoid from the Exorcist. The Exorcist died as the fleshy organ was pulled from him. The Apothecary motioned to his dissection servitors without a word, knowing that the mindless drones would harvest anything of use for the chapter as they were programmed to do.

The Apothecary looked at the glands in the narthecium and chuckled, "Yes, your gene-seed will be put to good use...by the Tyrant!"

Youz a bad man sir......

Hello all, thought I'd actually chime in with some terrible pictures just because I feel like I'm letting the side down so apologies for the quality but here's my true scale exorcists or a few of them.

My test guy with heavy bolter and soon to be a true scale libi in terminator armour

Great updates folks!

@Peredyne, what head did you use for the corpse-taker? I cannot tell but it looks like either an HH Iron Warrior one or possibly the skull one from the HH Night Lords.

I also must apologize, I've got nothing new yet. I am deciding how I am going to build my strike leader, Perceval. So that has slowed me down...and then Batman AK happened. I hope to get back on the ball and finish building the last of my retaliators and corpse-taker so I can move onto the next step to paint. I am also going to add to two dissection servitors as well. I've got an idea for them that I want to try out.

Awesome work from everyone so far.

Just ordered from Dark Sphere: new SM 'dex, new DA 'dex (to run my ACs as DAs since chapter tactics are stupidly similar) the IG(AM) 'dex, two sets of the new ASM, two sets of the new devs and four 32mm bases. To go with my two full tac squads, one full sternguard squad and a centurion and my captain.

Good job I have next week off.

I present to you

Lord High Commander Verant Ortys: Supreme Leader of the Red Scorpions Ortys was killed during the Badab War in The Betrayal at Grief on 3.390.906.M41

Right managed to grab some stuff.

You seek information on the Carchardons? What is there to say I have never had the pleasure to witness such purity of hate such strength.

My squad had been pinned down buy that traitorous filth the Tyrants legion while a Retributor  squad with the commanding Centurion massed to sweep us away. I was forced to put out a full spectrum vox for aid as even our iron strength could not best both. The only response I received was from command saying there where no active units available to assist for 5 minutes and then a curt 'inbound.' Next thing 5 Carcharadons landed next to our position the sergeant nodded at the Retributors and leapt towards them, incinerating one with his plasma pistol while his men charged to follow. Bolt pistols punched another from his feet, seconds later the 2 flamers in the squad bathed another in twin sheets of flame he fell to his knees and did not rise. The Centurion's bellowed challenge died on his lips as he was split collar to hip by the sergeants glittering axe the remaining 2 where torn to shreds by shrieking chainswords all this inside 10 seconds as my own unit charged the Tyrants Legion. We need not have bothered the assault squad hit them like a thunderbolt and literally tore them limb from limb, then we arrived to finish the rout none survived then they departed without a word. Leaving only the dead as testament to their craft.

Sgt Tel'Vas  Sons of Medusa.

My pledge 5 assault marines with 2 flamers and sergeant armed with Power axe, Plasma Pistol, Melta bombs and Combat shield

Carchardon Astra by the Emperor it will be done.

It is from the HH Iron Warriors kit. It's suitably sinister looking and really changes the overall attitude of the miniature.

A quick update: I finally received my Puppetswar order with the Striker Heads for my Astral Claws/Tyrants Legion Scouts. I had a unit of snipers ready to receive the helmets, and I tried mounting both by snipping the neck ball joint off so the helmet would mount flush with the body and also by dremeling a slot for the ball joint. The dremeling takes more time but gives a more satisfactory connection and allows more possible posing. The helmets are far superior than the flat face heads that come with the scouts. My partner looked at the difference and even she prefers the helmets. I'm going to try to pick up another box of either scouts or scout bikes to try the helmets.

Hopefully some WIP pics this weekend!

Got one delivery, assault squad some 32mm bases and the new codex but missed my delivery today, so will have to pick it up from the sorting office tomorrow. Also forgot to add a few other things to my FW order (mixed armour marks ftw) so got another order coming in as well.

Good job I am usless at work and have been given less hours due to it so more hours for modeling I guess....

Yep, its hard to walk but don't need my legs to model or paint. Bet one of the loyalist made my stairs slippery to attempt to put me out.....

I need your opinion everyone on two issues.

1.  I have a tyberos model that I am painting, need some ideas for basing.  I am placing an order with secret weapons, so from there would be great.

2.  I have about 40 scouts that will be paint in mantis warrior colors.  I despise the current heads that gw haves.  Which helmet do you guys like

A. The insect helemt9I think its taking the theme to far)  http://puppetswar.com/product.php?id_product=92

or

B. These striker helmets http://puppetswar.com/product.php?id_product=190

@ Uprising: I just got my order of Striker helmets from Puppetswar and they look great on the Scouts!
