I must have been sleeping at the wheel on this one and it's honestly never been an issue but here goes:

Imperial Knights have access to Destroyer Weapons, namely the Reaper Chainsword and Thunderstrike Gauntlet. On the Destroyer Weapon entry on page 163, it states excess wounds are lost and cannot be carried over to the rest of the unit. Here's the question: if, say, a group of Traitorous Marines are in base contact with my Imperial Knight Titan, I can only kill, at most, 3-4 of them with my gigantic sword and/ or hand of doom- not including Stomp and Hammer of Wrath?

I find this utterly ridiculous if true. My mind just can't wrap around this concept. Someone- anyone- tell me what's happening here :sad.:!

That's correct. Remember the schoolyard threat, "I'll hit you so hard, your mother will feel it"? That's not actually possible. So the Knight is hitting those traitors really, really hard but each hit can only kill one at a time.

I can just see the towering Knight smashing his chainsword into a Khornate worshipper only to bring the blade back up very gingerly, "tutting" the other warriors aside so they won't get scratched.

Thanks for the reply, Commodus. It seems my dreams of playing again have just died a bit more.

They may be large, but that can also be a disadvantage.  Think of it like the cave troll fighting the hobbits in Fellowship of the Ring - yes, those are large swings but against targets that are far more nimble than the Knight.  If the Knight is taking sweeping blows at a mass of infantry, picture most of them managing to jump out of the way in time.

I don't know what to tell you, man.

Well, the saving grace here is I don't play. I like for my armies to be equipped as if I could play. There's always that dastardly "hope" that it might be possible one day.

In the end, I'll go about my Knights the same as before: that they're freaking amazing. Oh well, thanks to everyone for y'all's input.
