Forge World heavy guns

So, I'm planning to start a Chaos army soon, and want to include some Havocs. Now considering how useless the GW Havoc Pack looks in terms of weapons, I'm thinking the Forgeworld Legion weapon packs are a better option. My question is whether they can be used on standard GW Chaos Space Marines, and if so how much conversion/modelling is required? I am a complete newbie to this, so any advanced techniques will be beyond me. I ask this because otherwise I'll obviously have to buy the Forgeworld Squads, and although they look incredible, they will inevitably cost a fortune. Thanks in advance.

The forge world kits will fit the standard Chaos Space marine box marines with little effort. You mainly just have to look carefully at the arms before you do assembly. Here are some examples:

Ta Ammonius - that's certainly a relief, both for my wallet and my lack of skill. Also, very nice models - what warband/legion are they? Also, guessing those helmets are a separate pack, because they don't look standard.

Those helmets are from the Chaos Rhino accessory sprue. Cheap enough to bits source from ebay.

Those are Deprecators, a 40k-era splinter warband of the Iron Warriors. And yes, the targeter helmets come from the Chaos parts sprue for the Rhino, and possibly may also come with the Chaos Vindicator and/ or Chaos Land Raider kits. Happy to help!

Nice name! And surprise surprise, I was thinking of running an Iron Warriors war and myself - want to keep a reference to the hazard stripes though in my colour scheme. But yeah, thanks again for the help. I assume this only applies to the "underslung" weaponry: Heavy Bolters, Autocannons, Heavy Flamers (& Vulkite Culverins, but they can't be used in 40K... Maybe as "Plasma cannons"?)

Thanks again! Yes, I don't have experience with any of the shoulder mounted guns. I do own a package of the big Volkite guns that I'll someday use as Blastmasters :)

Blastmasters are another option I hadn't considered. Guess they look like they could be either those or Plasma Cannons. Such versatile things.
